    • QUOTES (7)

      • Schultz: Colonel Hogan, Kommandant Klink wishes you to come to his office. He wants you to meet the new executive officer, Major Kuehn. Oh, boy!
Hogan: Our new executive officer, huh?
Kinch: Doggone! I thought I was going to get that job.

      • Hogan: You can't take Major Kuehn. He's the only friend we have here. Why just last night, the fellows voted to make him an honorary prisoner.
Burkhalter: Honorary? Well, when I get back to Berlin, I will see to it that it is made official.

      • Hogan: Kinch, contact the sub.
Kinch: Right, and tell 'em that everything's okay for the raid on Kaiserhof, huh?
Hogan: Right. Oh, and by the way, for Carter's sake, will you find out about Mary Noble, Backstage Wife?
Carter: If it's anymore bad news, I don't wanna hear it.

      • Helga: The Colonel will be here in a moment.
        Hogan: Thanks, Helga.
Helga: He seems very angry with you. Have you done something naughty?
Hogan: No, but I might as well. (kisses Helga on the forehead)

      • Kuehn: I know a man is keeping secrets when he avoids looking directly at me! Even Fraulein Helga noticed it.
Helga: That's right sir. The sergeant's eyes kept moving away from you and looking over at me.
        Kuehn: You see?
Helga: And he didn't even look me in the eye.

      • Kuehn: 293 attempted escapes instead of 291, as you indicated.
Klink: I did feel it necessary to include those two attempts. They were made by my guards.

      • Hogan: How's the decoding coming, Kinch?
Kinch: Uh, in a minute, but it don't look too good. The St. Louis Browns in first place in the American League. And, the bank is about to forclose on Mary Noble, Backstage Wife.
Hogan: Again? How'll we ever break this to Carter?
        Carter: Break what to Carter?
Hogan: Brace yourself, boy, this is gonna be rough. Oh, those eyes. Kinch, you tell him.
Kinch: The bank is gonna forclose on Mary Noble.
Carter: I can't take much more of this.
