    • TRIVIA (2)

      • A string connected to Klink's cap is clearly visible as he walks toward Manheim, thinking the latter is out of bullets. When Klink is shot at, voila, the cap comes off.

      • Hogan fashions a giant swastika to mask a supplemental antenna atop Klink's flagpole.

    • QUOTES (5)

      • Freitag: Mannheim, why don't you see if my uniforms are back from the tailor? And take Colonel Kink with you.
        Klink: Klink!
        Freitag: Whatever you say.

      • (the men celebrate finding the spy)
Klink: Now, everybody seems to be very happy. What's the occasion, eh?
Hogan: Some good news from home.
Klink: We haven't had any mail for two weeks.
        Hogan: A delayed reaction!

      • Klink: Guess who's here in town?
        Hogan: Gen. Eisenhower?
Klink: Oh, please don't be ridiculous!
Hogan: I'm not! He's going to be here sooner or later.

      • Hochstetter: Colonel, may I remind you that the Gestapo can be very unfriendly. Very unfriendly!
Hogan: You know, I've heard that and I've often wondered what's a nice guy like you doing in an outfit like that.

      • Hogan: I'm sorry, I didn't know you had company.
Hochstetter: The Gestapo is not 'company.'
Hogan: Frankly, I never thought much of 'em myself.
Klink: Hogan, you will show a little respect for Major Hochstetter!
        Hogan: Just a little, sir?
Klink: I mean a lot of respect--please don't twist my words.

    • NOTES (6)

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • The "Manhattan Project" is referenced in this episode.

This was the code name for the highly top-secret atomic bomb; London's insistence it is not mentioned again is quite expected. Workers involved with the project weren't allowed to say where they worked, and any Nazi who knew would be deemed very dangerous.

(Note that in a previous episode Hogan and his men feel they have to kill a scientist working on an atomic bomb.)
