Hogs & Heifers

Show Summary

Hogs & Heifers is the Oxygen reality series that follows the life and work of business owner Michelle Dell. Michelle is a third generation New Yorker and grew up in Greenwich Village in the 70's. She was raised by her single mother, who in 1976 opened her own restaurant called Sabor, introducing Michelle to the service industry. Michelle spent her teenage years in the Drama department, attending the High School of Performing Arts. In college she financed her education by waiting tables and bar tending. She found a job at Hogs & Heifers Saloon, where she also found love with owner Allan Dell. In 1992 Hogs & Heifers opened with Michelle behind the bar. In the first few years things were tough, with a usually empty and cold bar. Michelle took to dancing on the bar as a means to keep warm. Michelle took to the streets asking construction workers and meat packers to visit her at the bar, and soon they had a bustling day business. The bar reached success with some celebrity appearances and clients, but Allan passed away in 1997. Michelle has kept the business booming, sporting low cut jeans and boots, jumping on the bar and keeping track of her saucy, foul mouthed, fire blowing bartenders. Now shes juggling her business and love life, trying to keep her customers happy while finding love and hopefully having a kid before she hits 40 years old. Tune in and see the rebellious Michelle take on the business and dating worlds in Oxygen's Hogs & Heifers.moreless
