    • TRIVIA (1)

      • To visually demonstrate the unevenness of the floor, Damon put down a golf ball on the floor. Without any nudging, the ball began to roll off in one direction and then arced back to where it had begun, showing just how bowled the floor had become.

    • QUOTES (6)

      • (As Mike shows the homeowners their house after it had been gutted)
Mike Holmes: You like open concept?
        Josette (homeowner): Not this much.

      • Josette (homeowner): (after seeing her house completely gutted) Shock. I'm in complete shock. I didn't expect...I knew that, y'know, according to Mike -- last time we saw him -- this house should be condemned...and I didn't think that he actually meant it.

      • Frank Cozzolino: When you get something like this, it's just easier just to rip everything out and start over.

      • Mike Holmes: We've opened up a nightmare. We have to fix the nightmare. The right way is to gut your whole house. Remove the mould; remove the asbestos; pull out the electrical; pull out the HVAC; pull out the plumbing; pull out absolutely everything in this house, including you and your furniture...redo the whole house at a cost of about three hundred thousand dollars.

      • Jeff (homeowner): It's incredible...the...the feeling of your stomach sinking right out from underneath you, when...when the news of how much is wrong with this place is thrown at you.

      • Mike Holmes: It was even worse than I thought. That sucks!
