  • Brad's getting married?!

One of the funniest episodes ever! At first, Brad gets into a relationship with a college girl and everything works out well. Everyone is happy for him, unless...he announces he is getting married! Tim's reaction on Tool Time was priceless when he accidently pops a balloon while in shock of hearing his son announcing his proposal on Tool Time. Jill's reaction to Brad was just as funny. In my opinion, it is one of the funnier Tool Time accidents, especially that it was by distraction and not by avoiding caution, as it is with most accidents. The word word "fiancee" really stands out, especially at Brad's age. The storyline has you wondering whether or not Brad is willing to go with it. Is he going to?

One of the classic episode of Home Improvement, which is why I watch this show.moreless
  • Brad's getting married... or is he?

Brad meets a college girl named Samantha at a party, and they instantly hit it off. They plan on getting married after going out for only a month, and Tim and Jill won't let them get away with it. They plan to get Brad to regret his decision, and it works successfully as he finds out that Samantha wants kids, while Brad is still a kid himself.

Meanwhile, Mark messes up some tupperware in the dishwasher, and in the end, dyes his hair pink!moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • At the end of the episode, Mark says he's going out and will be back around 9:00, and his parents just say "okay" without even asking where he's going. Tim and Jill are normally much more attentive parents than that and over the course of the series, Jill's very first response to one of her children leaving the house was almost always "Where are you going?" Also, since Mark was only in seventh grade in this episode, that makes it even more unusual that his parents wouldn't keep better tabs on his whereabouts.

  • QUOTES (8)

    • Jill: She's at least 20.
      Randy: Who's at least 20?
Tim: This girl that Brad's going out with.
Jill: What would a 20-year-old girl want with a guy like Brad?
Randy: Maybe the place she lives in doesn't allow her to have a dog...

    • Wilson: Married? At Brad's age?
Tim: He'll have to sit at the children's table at his own wedding.

    • Tim (to Brad): You can't get married, you've got homework!

    • Tim: Waiter, get me some champagne! And some juice boxes for the bride and groom!

    • Jill (about Brad): Dinner at 9 o'clock? A few years ago, he was going to bed at 9 o'clock.
Tim: A few years from now, WE'LL be going to bed at 9 o'clock.

    • (Brad comes in)
      Mark: Here comes the groom.
      Brad: Shut up.
Randy: You know, Brad, we were thinking about places to have your bachelor party. How do you feel about Chuck E. Cheese's?
Mark: Yeah, the groom gets free tokens.

    • Mark: Hey, I'm going to the mall. I'll see you guys later.
      (He leaves.)
      Jill: Is his hair pink?
      Tim: Fuchsia.

    • Samantha: You've raised a real gentleman.
Jill: I didn't know we were finished.
