  • Funny episode featuring Al Borland!

    10
Al gets a once-in-a-lifetime (well, not exactly) chance to become a co-owner of Harry's Hardware Store. But, once he does become the co-owner, he becomes too busy to pay attention to Ilene.

Meanwhile, Randy and Brad want to win the Halloween contest on who has the best costume. They dress up as zombies, while Mark dresses up as Al! Flannel, jeans, and the Harry's Hardware Store t-shirt, and he's ready to go! The surprise is, he wins the contest!

Note: In season 2, he dressed up as Tim.moreless

    • Tim (about the Mona Borland portrait): You've heard of Monet. This is what we call a "don't waste your Monet."

Claude Monet (1840-1926) was a French painter who helped found the art movement known as Impressionism. Monet liked to paint outdoors and he often painted the same object or landscape several times to depict how different light and weather conditions could alter its appearance.

    • During Tool Time, Tim puts up a picture of "Mona Borland," which is a print of Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa with Al's face over Mona's.
