  • Christmas Review #78

Tim tries to do the ultimate Christmas decorating display job. Jill is worried when she finds out her mother is dating. I thought that this was an excellent Christmas episode of "Home Improvement". This is definitely my favorite Christmas episode of "Home Improvement" right to my other favorite Christmas episode "Twas the Flight Before Christmas". There were a lot of parts that made me laugh and the storyline was done very well. I also really liked the Parker character... he seems so happy and a person that brings joy. Tim loving to hang out with Parker was also very nice. The storyline about Jill's mother going too soon dating someone else when the death of Jill's father happened a couple of months ago was handled well. I know that Jill's father was grumpy in the old seasons and he did irritate me but I did like that character in a way. So yeah, it is a shame that Jill's father died in this later season. The emotion between Jill and her mother at the end of the episode was also very nice and I loved how they talking about the memories about Jill's father. Overall, an excellent Christmas episode of "Home Improvement" with excellent humor and good emotion (at the end of the episode). 10/10moreless
  • Whenever I watch this episode, I always feel a little Christmasy.

It is Christmas time at the Taylor house and Tim is up to his usual lighting display antics. But it is not only that, as it is the first Christmas, after the death of The Colonel, Jills father. Jill's mother comes to visit and shocks everyone when she says she has found a boyfriend!

One of the funniest things about this episode is how Jill deals with the stress of her mother having a new relationship, "Throwing baked goods at Keith Partridge" But my favorite part of this episode is the Tool Time. I love the cast's outfits, But what truly gets me in the spirit is the playing of Deck the Halls when Tim's Wagon comes out.

A Perfect Holiday episode that truly captures the spirit of the Christmas season...it is about family, young as well as old, and even those that are no longer with us.moreless
