  • Tim buys some basketball tickets... two season passes, worth $4000! This upsets Jill and she gives him the look. This gets Tim and the hardware guys into a discussion about the horror that is "The Look," only the "most potent weapon in a woman's aresenal"

During Home Improvement's original run on ABC, I was very young. If I recall correctly, I was only about 7 years old when this episode first aired. This is one of the episodes I remember vividly, even twelve years later.

Men who watch this episode will know all too well what "the look" is. And seeing Delores give the look to Harry was enough to give anyone nightmares!

Of course, Jill "persuades" Tim to raffle off most of his tickets, but she ends up buying some from him so she can take him to the games.

I love how funny Delores and Harry are together. Their love-to-hate-each-other relationship really made this episode laugh-out-loud funny.
  • One of the Absolute Best

This episode is a classic. It ranks up there with the all time great comedy episodes, up in the same ranks as "The Soup Nazi," "The Contest," and "The Yada Yada" episodes from Seinfeld. This was Home Improvement's contribution to the all time memorable cultural references still used today and feared by men everywhere. In "The Look" Tim upsets Jill by purchasing Piston's season tickets on a whim and things spiral out of control with Tim and his friends, all who end up sharing their stories about the look or becoming victims of the look themselves. Most memorable being the showdown in the hardware store between Harry and Deloris and her mother, in which she manages to take down three of the men with the look in one of the funniest scenes in series history. "The Look" is a classic episode of a classic sitcom that will be just as funny 10 years and hundreds of viewings from now.
