Brendon goes into politics when he campaigns for student president against three-time winner Therman Thackery.

Brendon decides to enter as a candidate for school president against three-time unmatched winner Therman Thackery, and Shannon is in his favor. Brendon wins and Therman is seen in a beaten fashion. Shannon continues to wreak havoc at school, stealing supplies and breaking into cars. Mr. Lynch suggests that Brendon fires Shannon or he might not get into a good film school. When Brendon gives a speech about resigning, Therman falls over and doesn't get up and Melissa learns that Therman actually tripped and Shannon didn't beat him or stuff the voting boxes.

Meanwhile, Coach McGurk attempts to be a comedian, specifically "The soccer comic." When he does a show at the "Laugh, damn it!" comedy club, he is a failure and nobody laughs at his jokes. Brendon also accidentally finds him at his "new home."
