Episode Summary

A Writer's block threatens to hamper Brendon's participation in the school writer's fair. After failing several times to come up with something, Brendon Jason, and Melissa decide to perform at the fair script less, making their piece up as they go. As a result, their completely un-planned, un-rehearsed efforts make them a hit with the audience. ''''Meanwhile Paula attempts to write a romance novel.. and fails miserably. Coach McGurk begins to suffer from insomnia, placing him under the watchful eye of a university research department, who pay him so they can study his condition. His insomnia lasts seven whole days before it finally subsides, just as McGurk was counting on it to last a little longer so he could have earned the cash he needed to buy a DVD player.moreless

      • Coach McGuirk: I can't sleep. I have insomnia. Melissa: What's that? McGuirk: You don't know what insomnia is? Melissa: No. McGuirk: It's when you can't sleep. Melissa: Did you try lying on your bed and, you know, just having your eyes closed, and just relaxing? McGuirk: That's genius, Melissa. What a great idea. Let me write that down. So you're saying what I have to do to fall asleep, is go to sleep. Right?! Is that what you're saying, Melissa?! Melissa: (quietly) Mm-hmm. McGuirk: Good! 'Cause it's brilliant!! You should write a book!! You should give seminars, all right! You'll make millions of dollars!! Attention all insomniacs: All you have to do to fall asleep, is lie in your bed!!! Melissa: All right. Coach, I was just trying to help. Edit
