  • Series Finale

    7.0
I would have much preferred it -if Saul was put in command of a black ops unit where a 'redeemed' and fortified Brody would have some sort of a role (forced or by choice), theoretically he could have been useful -combat veteran, 5 years torture, 8 years POW, trained by Al qaeda and given a special operations crash course.

Carrie would continue with the politics, spying, recruiting, investigating and bureaucracy stuff that she always has done, while Brody and co. would provide the action, Saul would straddle both worlds.

Obviously things did not go the way I wanted -Brody is dead and we are left with a primary who's entire character (obsessive, anti social, promiscuous, excessive drinker, etc) can be reduced to her mental illness and it's treatment.

I didn't expect much from Season 4 but I was still disappointed.

I prefer to think of this episode as the series rather a season final -it gives me a sense of closure and fulfillment.moreless

I can't say I completely agree with the death, if that character truly is dead, but this was a strong finale to a season that has been good overall, but has definitely had its share of shaky moments.
  • The End of Homeland

    7.0
I doubt that Homeland can be go beyond season 4 without Damian Lewis. He won an Emmy for his role on Homeland. But I must applaud the producers (which included Claire Danes) for allowing his character to die, though I will not be watching anymore of this show. They should have just wrapped up everything when the star was drawn for Brody, highly emotional and great impact.
  • This is not Game Of Thrones!!!

    1.0
Only in GOT the main character is allowed to die... and not after 3 seasons!!

Invent a way to raise him from the dead. You have just the first episode of season 4 to make things right. After that, we won't watch it.
  • A very brave act...

    9.0
kchurch, you have to think outside the box. The show is not titled "Brody's homeland" but "Homeland" and from the very beginning it was meant to be about national security and not about Brody. I think the writers were very brave by doing what they did and after reading an interview with Showtime's CEO I must say that finally they understood which path shoud they take in order to continue "Homeland" to at least another three or four years.moreless
