  • Pembleton and Bayliss along with homicide detectives Lennie Briscoe and Rey Curtis from New York, try to track down a man who is said to be the partner of the jailed racist and murderer Brian Egan.

"For God and Country" has an all-star cast, combining the two greatest police drama's in the history of Television.

Lennie Briscoe and Rey Curtis from "Law and Order" appear in this episode, fulfilling the dreams of many avid "Law and Order" and "Homicide: life on the street" fans.

Because this is part of the "Homicide" series, in true form, Briscoe's life outside of work is examined. If you know anything about "Law and Order's" Briscoe you are not surprised to see the OTB addict hustle Munch for $300 in a game of pool. When Briscoe's partner comes into the detectives bar he asks Briscoe if he's "got anything yet?" (referring to any leads on the case). Briscoe replies "yeah $300". Briscoe's ways with women are also looked at, when we find out that he slept with Munch's ex wife. It seems like poor Munch can't win, but Briscoe gives credit where credit is due, telling munch he cracked the case with a useful peice of information.
