Hope & Faith

The episode starts with Hope putting the finishing touches on Charley's birthday breakfast. Hope and the kids then go upstairs to get Charley. As they rush up the stairs Faith comes through the back door and sees the breakfast on the table. In true Faith style she sits down at the table, makes a wish "I wish I could be happy again" and blows out the candle. After about 10 seconds she looks unhappy and says "my wiskes never come true". She then pours maple syrup over the pancakes and starts to eat them as Hope and the kids come down the stairs with Hope covering Charley's eyes. Hope sees Faith and shouts "FAITH!!" Charley ends up saying that he doesn't want a big event just a quiet dinner with all the people that he loves (faith not included). Faith then starts to cry and says that nobody wants her anymore and starts to moan about losing the Gooch. She gets up and leaves saying that she needs to find a way to humiliate her self to make up for humiliating herself. She walks out the room with her skirt tucked into her knickers.

Cue the Gooch in his house. There is a knock o the door and its Faith. She's bringing a peace offering: a basket of embarrassing moments of her life including "weapons of mass destruction" – the porno that she made; and a picture of her self before her nose job. She then starts to say how she feels towards the Gooch saying she doesn't want to stop these feelings. Just then a girl walks through the door and says; "ok Gooch you win, I'll marry you" and kisses him. Faith says "ok, looks like I'm gonna need a bigger basket for her embarrassing moments"

The girl introduces herself as Carmen the Gooch's fiancée and the Gooch comments ex-fiancée. She then taunts faith by calling her the maid then saying that she made her feel nauseous! Faith says that she has a daytime emmy and real breasts to which Carmen replies "where do you keep them". Faith ends up telling Carmen and the Gooch that they are invited to Charley's impromptu surprise party.

At the Shanowski's they are getting ready for the party in which Hope says " I can't believe I let you talk me into this!" Faith then talks about this being the perfect idea to get the Gooch to fall in love with her. Justin then shouts that Charley is home and everyone hides; Carmen hiding in a cupboard. Charley then comes through the door and everyone shouts surprise. Charley is ecstatic with the surprise party and Faith says to open her present first, which she puts on the table. She then gets impatient, unwraps it herself and it's a karaoke machine. So she says; "WOW a karaoke machine, what a great gift! I'll go first!" There is then knocking from the cupboard and Charley opens it to reveal Carmen. Carmen gets out the cupboard and says; "you must be the birthday boy, surprise!!" Charley clearly thinking she's a stripper says "Hope you have really outdone yourself this year!"

Karaoke machine contest follows in which Carmen and Faith have a song showdown. And when its Carmen's turn she starts to dance and Hope shouts that the kids have to go to bed and the parties over to which Carmen says to the Gooch "why don't we an after party" and Faith shouts "everyone to the Gooch's house for an after party party!". Charley then gets up says "awesome there's way more room to dance over there, Hope bring my thriller jacket" and goes out the door while doing a Michael Jackson imitation.

Cut scene and it's the morning after and Carmen and Faith are asleep on the sofa with Charley drunk singing into the karaoke machine looking worse for wear on a chair. Hope walks in and says; "home now" and walks out. Charley exits and the answering machine starts to work. It's a message from Japan saying that they want him on the team. Faith wants to tell the Gooch but Carmen doesn't saying that f he goes to Japan they both lose. Faith says "forget it I wouldn't do that to the Gooch" and runs out.

Hope and Faith are rock climbing to reach the Gooch and are talking about the Gooch. Hope says she's proud of Faith. As they near the top where the Gooch is there is a helicopter above and Carmen is being lowered from it onto where the Gooch is. Carmen tells the Gooch about Japan and Faith says that she's lost. Hope tells her not to give up and they fight and Faith says let go of me. Hope does and Faith Slide down the cliff onto some rocks below. The Gooch then looks down the cliff and sees the sisters. Faith covers saying they are into extreme sports. Hope reveals that Faith was climbing up to tell him about the call and in a selfless act unlike Faith, Faith says go to the meeting with the Japanese captain as he's only in town for one more hour. He chooses to stay and help faith get unstuck and reach safety. Carmen then says she waited for so long for him to choose her over baseball and now he's choosing Faith over baseball. She's says its over and calls for the helicopter and leaves.

Next scene The Gooch is at home and Faith walks in. Faith says "thanks for saving me, you're my hero". The Gooch says he didn't really want to pay baseball in Japan anyway. Faith then shows the Gooch tickets she's bought for him to go to Japan by plane, which lands one hour before a meeting with the Japan captain. There's a sweet scene between the two of them that ends in a cute kiss.

The last scene is Charley and faith watching the Gooch playing baseball in Japan on the T.V. The Gooch hits a home run and Charley and faith rejoice shouting in Japanese. Hope comes down stairs and shouts at them in Japanese to keep it down.
