      • Faith says, "Nobody's smoked a cigar in here since the last time Letterman was here." This is a joke at the long-running laugh-about feud between Regis Philbin and David Letterman.

      • Lori Schulweis, (un-credited in this episode), is seen laughing when Hal and Faith are auditioning for Good Morning Glen Falls. She is their real producer on Live with Regis and Kelly.

      • Regis Philbin's wife, Joy Philbin, guest stars. She regularly fills in for Kelly on Live with Regis and Kelly.

      • Good Morning Glen Falls is a copy/joke of Regis' and Kelly's real talk show, Live with Regis and Kelly.

      • This episode was originally meant to air on the 17th of Febuary but Dancing with The Stars was extended for a whole hour.

    • ALLUSIONS (4)

      ADD ALLUSIONS
      • During the audition for Good Morning Glen Falls, Faith (Kelly Ripa) makes a reference to Hal's toenails. This is an in-joke during a pedicure that Kelly had to give to Regis during an episode of Live with Regis and Kelly where Kelly lost a bet. While she was removing Regis' shoes, she made constant jokes about how long and ugly his toenails were.

      • Hal: Wait! I haven't plugged my CD yet! Regis is, referring to his Christmas CD that he constantly plugged from September to December of 2005 during Live.

      • (Faith throws Handsome Hal's cigar and lighter out the window) Hal: Hey, that's my lifeline!
Regis Philbin (Hal) used to be the host of the game show Who Wants to be a Millionaire, which features lifelines to help the contestants out.

      • Homeless Hal The episode title is a play on Regis Philbin's character name, Handsome Hal.
