"Battle of the Bands" is another decent episode of Hot in Cleveland, but the show seems to have cooled off a little bit after getting off to a great start earlier in the season. I guess we were overdue for the cliched "the gang starts a band" episode, but this was not as bad as you might think. The autotune gag was good, even if that is painful to listen to in songs these days. And the return of Rick was a welcome surprise in tonight's episode.

Again, I laughed a few times, but it almost seems like the show is not trying right now. They feel like they have carved their niche out and are content on giving us rehashed episodes when there are actually many stories still left to be told regarding these four.moreless
