After Victoria accidentally lets Clark's poisonous spider lose in the house, the ladies temporarily move to Max's lake house, but the spider follows them. K. C. shows up, and to hide the fact that she slept with Joy's ex-husband, Melanie conjures up boyfriend "Casey," who ends up falling for Victoria. Meanwhile, Elka tries to tell a joke.

This episode has several things in common with the Frasier episode "The Ski Lodge". The cabin in which this episode takes place is the same one in which the Frasier episode was set. In that episode, the characters snuck back and forth through the three rooms, likewise in this episode. In the Frasier episode, Jane Leeves (Joy) played Daphne Moon who tried to get alone with Guy who was played by James Patrick Stewart who on Hot in Cleveland plays Joy's on-again, off-again beau Colin.
