This episode wasn't as great as I imagined. I am not a big Matt Damon fan. Sure, I enjoyed the Bourne identity series, but I would've preferred it if he played an actual character instead of a version of himself. The sub plots weren't too great either.

Early on in their run, Entourage did this type of episode brilliantly (for James Cameron in particular). Then it became a parody of itself that House of Lies clearly studied and replicated here. Damon is of course convincing enough as a parody of himself, but there was basically no plot to speak of.

Marty takes him drinking and has to give Damon a hand job to close the deal? Jeannie babysits Roscoe and reassures him he's a cool kid. No drama. Nothing at stake. Basically the episode existed purely to let Matt Damon have some fun. And that's still better than a lot of TV, but this show has far too good a cast to coast by like this.moreless
