The time has come for the ceremony celebrating the merger between MetroCapital and Galweather & Stearn. Marty and his team are working to the last minute to stop the merger from happening, while both he and Jeannie have to face the music about issues in their personal lives.

Marty and The Rainmaker seem to finally have come up with a plan to stop the upcoming merger. However, this alliance proves to be a lesson in trust for Marty, leading him on a path of revenge. At home, Roscoe is making it clear that he is not happy with the breakup between Marty and April.

Galweather & Stearn arranges a recruitment event at The Rainmaker's house to attract the brightest young talents in the field. Marty gets some worrisome news and has to play his cards right to secure his position in the company. Doug makes a bet with Clyde that he can coach anyone of the potential recruits to getting hired by the company.

Despite having looked forward to winding down after a hard week's work, Marty's team has to spend the weekend saving Roscoe from being expelled. At the same time a lady friend from Marty's past returns to ask him a favour. Jeannie is becoming increasingly anxious ahead of her wedding.

Marty and The Pod travel to New York to consult for MetroCapital, a mega-bank that is looking for a plan to unscrupulously justify taking their year-end bonuses as the financial world around them burns. Unfortunately, Marty makes an enemy out of MetroCapital's number two guy, Greg Norbert, in the process.Back at home, Marty gets some unwanted advice on how to raise his son, Roscoe, from Jeremiah, Marty's live-in father, when Roscoe decides to try out for the female lead in a school play.
