A 14-year-old girl admitted for an allergic reaction gets increasingly worse. However, House would rather pursue the case of a deceased four-year-old and will go to any lengths to solve it... including going back to prison. Meanwhile, Park wonders why Chase is obsessed with personal grooming.

Recurring Role |
Dr. Park: I like naval stuff.
House: I like their oranges and lint.
Dr. Adams: I thought it was relevant.
House: Death is a consequence, not a symptom. If it's not a symptom, it's not relevant.
Dr. Wilson: You have a dead patient?
House: Bigotry is boring when we add modifiers. I don't see creed, color, pulse.
Dr. Wilson: We have a problem.
Dr. Foreman: Does it limp?
House: You're right.
Dr. Wilson: You don't even know what I said.
House: That is ridiculous. Blah blah blah blah blah deaf ears. Blah blah blah blah blah blah. Absolutely essential information.
Dr. Wilson: Your job is to keep this machine running. It's your choice to make House a useful tool or a monkey wrench. Cuddy's way didn't fail because she didn't try to control House, she managed him. She knew better than anybody what a tool he could be.

Dr. Wilson: Have you seen Bride of the Monster?
Referencing the 1955 horror movie directed and written by Ed Wood. Dr. Varnoff (Bela Lugosi, in his last speaking role) plans to use nuclear power to create an army of super-soldiers. He lurks in a manor in a swamp and uses a giant octopus to kill intruders. Like all of Ed Wood's movies, it is poorly acted, filmed, and scripted.
House: Thank you, Igor.
Referencing the stock character, a hunchbacked assistant to various movie mad scientists. There is no specific character named Igor in early horror movies. The hunchbacked assistant in Frankenstein (1927) is actually named Fritz. The character who appears in two later sequels is named Ygor, but neither an assistant nor a hunchback.
House: You need to watch Norma Rae.
Referencing the 1979 film starring Sally Field as a factory worker who organizes her fellow cotton mill employees into a union. It is based on the real-life story of Crystal Lee Sutton.
