HOUSE!!! House has a more complex storyline to it. It makes you really think. Grey's Anatomy doesn't make you think that much.

    difficult question

House is not a typical hospital drama , So it'd be more fair to compare Grey with ER or Chicago Hope or whatever. (Grey's the best ) but as i said house is different , more clever , more focused , and dr house is more interensting then the sum of all grey characters. so , the house always wins. (is there a fine for bad word jokes? )))

HOUSE ALL THE WAY!! Grey's anatomy is another version of a stupid drama mixed in with hot people...it is just like everything else...House is unique...how many shows are there with a guy with a cane as the lead character?? ALL THE CHARACTERS ARE UNIQUE IN HIS OR HER OWN WAY ESPECIALLY DOCTOR CHASE!!!!!!!!

I watch them both, and since they're both so diametrally diferent I really son't think you can say one or the other.

House is focused more on House (dah!), the patients, and their relation with the patients.

Grey's Anatomy on the othe hand has a lot more to do with the doctors relations between themselves, the patinets play a minor role to test the doctors relations. On House the patient is just a fuel rod for good old Greg to bark at everyone.

I watch them both and really like them both, so the answer is House and G's A.

I just watched 20 mintes of GA. What a load of crap! Did I say that out loud? Sorry. But seriously. It's just a plain old ordinary mainstream soap, nothing else. I might was well just watch Chicago Hope or ER. No, give me  Hugh anytime, throw in a bit of intelligent writing, sarcastic quips and sparkling character interaction, and you've got House. Rocks my world!

i watch both shows and i like them both
but to tell you the truth i actually pay attention when House is on and if i miss something i have to rewind it to see what it was
with GA on the other hand, if i miss something i'm just like "oh it's probably just meredith sleeping with another guy again..."
and just last week i missed half of it cuz it didn't record but i didn't mind all that much cuz i was too busy waiting for CSI to start (in case you're confused in Canada, CTV airs GA at 8 before CSI)

but with House i double and triple check to make sure it's set to record cuz he's just so funny and i love the way he uses his sarcasm
now i can't miss an episode

Grey's Anatomy is a soap opera-ish dramedy that uses the setting as a niche backdrop for the drama.  It's about the flings and fights, not medicine.

House focuses on both the emotional turmoil with House and his team/co-workers (including Wilson and Cuddy), but strikes a balance between the importance of the case at hand and the problems plaguing the staff.

The pace of the episode is moved along by the new symptoms of the patient(s).

Overall, it just feels like a medical show with character development as a side dish.  Grey's could easily take place in a lawfirm, out in the field for the FBI, or any other drama you could think of right now.  The medicine isn't the focus, and I wish people would quit acting like it is.

Amen, Kenji! As much as I'd like to see a show about the problems that interns (surgical or otherwise) have becoming doctors, GA isn't it! House has more of the angst associated with medical care-givers even though they mix in some inter-personal relations, the primary emphasis is not on the more common anxieties.

I can't help but be reminded of my favorite joke on Scrubs (which rox as well):

Elliot: "Oh, let's go to my place and watch Grey's Anatomy!"

-JD looks up into the sky, reflective-

JD:"Man, that's a great show.  It so accurately depicts our lives and what goes on in a hospital."

-Elliot and JD sit to reflect on the topic-

Lord, was it petty/accurate, and man did I love it.
