House: House oversized tennis ball (BOUO)

I was wondering where I could buy the oversized tennis ball (BOUO) which is seen in almost every episode of House. I looked it up on Ebay but I couldn't find the red/grey one they use on the show. Can anyone please help me out?

Well, I have no idea where to find it, but why not write to the show? I'm sure they get that question a lot - they might give you a brand name, or a retailer. Hope this helps!

If seen such balls in pet stores, they're dog toys or something. But I haven't seen it in the red/grey combination, mostly they're in one color or two of something else.

We used to have 2 big tennis balls like that in the house. We got them for our dog, when she was a puppy. We gave one to her & one to our older male dog. Needless to say, the puppy wrecked the 1st one when she was only about 4 months old & now the otherone, a few years older. Haven't found them since. We did find them at our local Walmart out here. Other than that, check the pet supply stores.

I saw a link once, to a site that sold all kinds of stuff, and it was listed under doggy toys... Not in those specific colours, though. But I can't find the link unfortunately..

I also heard it was a lacrosse ball, but since they are made out of smooth rubber without the "fur" coat, I doubt it.

I heard someone say they were from Target but I went to Target.com and looked at every item in their pets departemnt and didnt find one.

I read somewhere that between seasons 1 and 2 someone stole the ball and they had to have one rush custom made.

I'll go look at the pet stores here in the Netherlands. If they don't have them I'll probably keep looking on ebay for the red/grey version. Thank you all for the help!

I heard from the House Season 2 DVD, that the ball is from China; which is so cool because I know someone who is vacationing in China.

I believe happy addict is right they are dog toys, the best place to start would be a pet store and I suggest calling first.

Hey guys,

It's two, red and gray 4" balls attached by a knotted cord. You could cut the cord away, but then there would be two holes in each ball. Those seem to be almost exactly the same colors as the one on the show, however.

It's a nice way to show people that you watch House MD(the big sign on the ball is pretty hard to miss).
