I so far, like the way this season is playing out, there is no denying that the show's flame of brilliance is beginning to flicker out though. With Cuddy and Thirteen officially gone, House has only Wilson, Foreman, Chase and Taub to fall back on. His two new doctors just don't seem to be able to compete with his psychological games.
I think they need to add a new, very interesting character, who has some unknown relationship to House. We've, over the eyars, have seen Chase's father, Foreman's parents and brother, Wilson discussed his metally ill, missing brother, Taub has his family dilemma's, Cuddy showed her estranged mother andsister, Thirteen humanely killed her brother and House's "father" died. That's about it. And this happened sometime ago. We all know House's biological father was never in the picture, but think about it: If his biological father slept with his already married mother, what would keep his from sleeping with another person and having more bastard children, like House?
Though cliche and played out frequently in many TV shows, I think House should have a long-lost brother show up. Mypick, for the actor to play this character, would be Jeff Goldblum. Somehow, I can mentally picture both actors in the same show, with the sameunique abilities for observations and being able to read how a person truly is with a single glance. I think this could set up atype of rivalry and a way for House to finally make peace with his, discussed, yet never seen, biological father.
And yeah, I'm aware that this season is pretty muchgoing to be"it" for the series, but I'd like to think there's still some room for another, odd, yet interesting House connection.
