I have to say, I had luke-warm feelings about most of the season... but "Better Half" was pretty decent.
The main story was touching and oh-so-sad. Even though they cure him, she's still trapped in the situation due to some hope. As she said, she's known him longer with Alzheimer's than without and he can barely remember him anymore. Really, that has to be HELL on any family member. I knew a girl who's grandma (who lived with her) had full-blown dementia. She'd think I was her son one night and freak out at the strangers (IE her real daughters) in her house the next.
It had the staple House vs Wilson bet... though without the normal craziness.
Some solid scenes with Foreman; both House-related and otherwise. Plus he figured out the cause on his own (though House did first).
Chase had some back-story added.
Really, I liked House's little master-plan reveal. If you didn't figure it out, you think you can control me. If you figure it out, you think you can control me. Perhaps I need to rethink the last part of my plan
I agree with Wilson's morale dilemma. Like he said, telling a person that identified himself as asexual that it was due to a medical condition would turn his world upside down. But a tumor growing in your brain isn't something you just ignore. Meanwhile I felt bad for the wife: she must have REALLY loved him to pretend to be something that she wasn't.
