Although this was a good episode, it is fair to say that the last two have dropped in standard. The case was quite weird in this one, with the whole "ghost" thing- it didn't feel like a House episode, and thats what let it down. Gone were the interesting medical mysteries, and in its place was House's game.

Cameron and House have a bet that the mormon, Cole, wouldn't beat House up. House ridicules him and finally Cole snaps and punches him- leading to House having some form of respect for him. It was a tiny part of the story, but not brilliant.

I also miss many of House's witty remarks- there were a few, but his scene with Wilson was very short in this episode, and, although he had some nice scenes with Cameron, there wasn't enough effective one liners. Furthermore, Cuthroat **** screwing with Thirteen annoyed me- I don't like Amber as a character that much.

To top my list of annoyances, House fired Scooter! I loved that guy! Nevertheless, the episode had some good, redeeming qualities. House was his normal, sarky self, and his idea to talk to the hallucination was a classic one. It was also interesting seeing Foreman, and the twist at the end that Foreman is coming back, saved this episode for me.

Overall, a good episode, but certainly the worst this Season so far, and probably one of my least favourites of all the other Seasons as well- the Season, so great with its opening, seems to be on the slip.
  • A House version of Ghost Whisperer.

Well it seems like Amber & Thirteen are getting more competitive on account that they hate each other, looks like the team will do anything, even dig up a grave. The patient could somehow see the dead which was the strange part of the episode. Is there a sickness that could do that? Pretty scary. Bosley was fired! Yes! I really hated that guy. Cameron makes a bet with House like the good old days, that one of his teammates will physically assault him and she wins of course, I like how they didn't just kick off the old team. Cameron is getting some air time which I like.
  • What will they think of next?

OK, I know I have already said that a previous episode has taken the cake, but this one was way out there!

A woman who worked at a funeral home is having hallucinations. She sees the patient that died in the previous episode, as well as her dead mother. Yes, there is stumbling around to find the correct diagnosis, but the right one is arrived at in the end.

Roses must have been too expensive, so peonies are handed out, ala the ABC reality show The Bachelor, to the doctors who will remain next week. I thought there were 10, but apparently, there will be only seven next week.

SPOILER ALERT: If someone has not seen this episode and wants to be surprised, please do not read past this point.

The writers have gone over the edge. Sure, it is weird to have someone hallucinating, but to have doctors rob a grave is too much, even for this show.

Foreman is a pariah because he pulled a "House" at another hospital and got fired after a month. After trying to find another job, he comes back to Cuddy to get his old job back.
  • Bye, bye Bosley.

I have got to give House kudos for the POW (patient of the week), a girl who see's dead folks. Very Halloween, and very creepy. I mean there was no chance that it was real but still. The fellows were at their most interesting. Cut throat was as usual a witch with B. I'm growing more and more displeased with this Thirteen broad. They are trying to hard to make her a Cameron 2.0 and now they are throwing a little Cuddy in their as well, i.e. House's appreciation of her certain aspects of her being (though this was only shown in the promo for next weeks episode). Surgeon and Bosley were clashing throughout the entire episode, apparently Surgeon didn't like the fact that Bosley wasn't a real doctor yet managed to be the smartest fellow there. But that's not the reason he was fired. Poor Bosley. I was sure they were letting that other one go, and no not Kumar...the one that had next to nothing to do in the episode. Poor, poor Bos.

I am glad that they snuck in lots of Cameron but it just reminds me once again that House seems determined to notice everyone but her, I hate that. House and Cameron's little bet was very entertaining, I especially loved that Big Love punched House! That was excellent.
  • Witty and fast paced

An interesting storyline gives this episode a strong base from which the characters that House is recruiting get to play with the big guy some more. Each one is further developed before one of which is dumped. Personally, I thought the one interesting guy (except the mormon) shouldnt have been let go. Frankly, so far the women have the best character personalities. Hopefully well see a bit more of their traits in the next few episodes. However, the way he went was handled logically and with resonance.

As for Foreman.... Im not too sure I want to see his character return! His last few scenes have been grating to say the least. Ok so no one will hire him and the points been made - I really hope we get to see him duel w/ house again as before!

This episode doesnt really stand out against the best of the last season, or in fact the last two episodes in this season - but it is of a high quality and is good enough as setup for what hopefully is to come.

I liked the case in this one more then I did in episodes 2 and 3 of this season. I dont think any case is ever going to be better then the first one of this year, but this one was pretty good. I would have liked to see them do more with House and Walter. We learned a little but about Houses personal life in earlier seasons a 2-3 minute little speech about something Walter says before House is really freaked out would have been great. I was kind of surprised to see the old man go, I thought he would have been a good fit on House's team. I agree with the way the writers voted him off and he was still able to live his dream for a couple of weeks before seeing the boot. Foreman seems to be coming back at the end of the episode, which should be interesting. I dont think that he is going to simply be another House team member, I think he will work side by side with house, maybe with different patients. It will be interesting to see where they take it from here.
  • Loved the unexpected salute to "Charlie's Angels"

This ongoing blend of reality show/medical drama with House and his newly-hired-soon-to-be-fired fellows is intriguing and has kept the plots fresh and surprising. As is the case with other reality shows, once the vast number of contestants have been winnowed down, the viewing audience actually begins to care about the "survivors." Even House is regretting having to let "Old Guy" Henry go (as was I). The nostalgic salute to "Charlie's Angels" was great fun, and I've always loved actress Azura Skye. Her hallucinations had a poignant quality and her performance was spot-on. Overall, a suspenseful, quirky episode with more character development of the remaining fellows. Thumbs up!
  • Another great episode !

I think this is the best season so far, a lot of great episode with a lot of drama and comedy.

In this episode we meet a girl that is supposed to see dead people.

There were a couple of very cool moments, like the Charlie's Angel phone call. House calling the mormom guy "Big Love", and my favorite, the "rose cerimony" when he kicked off the old guy and stick with the others.

I never been a fan of Foreman, but he is definetely back, so im not very happy about that, but im glad that Chase and Cameron are still showing up in the episodes.

Hoping to see more great episodes !!!!

Why do we love House? Because he is crazy and smart...is your answer that please do not follow on the review, We love it cause we care about the doctors in the Princenton Plainsboro Hospital... I like the new characters(after 97 seconds)but I still miss camera time with the old ones (I know we have to give it a shot to the kids but please Cameron playing Wilson's part on the cafeteria jus won't do it)Good interaction between "Light House" and Cuddy, but not enough Chase...the medical part had some good moments especially when House went all "Freud" on Wilson, the mormon part was overplayed and is going old fast... I believe than with less characters we will get better performance by the newcomers with the unmistakable Dr. Gregory House.
  • The show is loosing the plot

    5.0
    "Mediocre"
Yet another boring episode, I was looking forward to the new season of House but the current storyline is proving to be a a total bore-fest, insulting the intelligence of the viewer. What's with the eliminations? Is the show turning into Big Brother with actors? Come on! Took me 3 goes to watch this episode to the end as it kept putting me to sleep. It seems to me that there has been a steady decline in the quality of each episode since the middle of last season. There is no character development on any of the main characters instead the show is focusing on the "fellowship candidates", some of which are likable but are not here for the long haul. Once again, this subplot is being dragged out just as they did with Triter in last season. So let's see who will be eliminated next week. Maybe the viewers will get to vote this time!
  • Not the best episode but it had it's moments.

    8.5
    "Great"
Thank goodness this episode didn't become a debate about whether or not some people can communicate with the dead, nor did it poke fun of the fact that the POTW, Irene, was seeing and communicating with her dead mother. Instead, the script used a nice Bosley/Angels approach to get the applicants ready for some grave humiliation when House has them dig up a corpse who may have died of the same syptoms as Irene. Amber used the death of last weeks patient to have some fun at 13's expense, while Cole sought out Cameron's advice on how to get House's respect.

The few areas that purely annoyed me was Cameron bribing House with a Frappacino to get him interested in Irene's case and Cuddy's relentless pursuit to get Foreman to come back to PPH. Any chemistry between House and Cameron has evaporated faster than whipped cream on a Frappacino. At least they are still on friendly manipulative terms. Foreman, on the other hand may soon find out that PPH is where he belongs after his House-like reputation costs him some job opportunities. Foreman's return to PPH can't be good news for House. While most of the episode was mediocre, the ending was a bit sweeter. House handing surviving candidates peonies was a funny gesture. Peonies for the peons. A move that is pure House in all his glory.
  • A girl who can talk to ghosts, not bad! And another one bites the dust!

    6.5
    "Fair"
Well we have a case of a girl who thinks she can talk to the dead, and it actually seems like she can! House then tests his doctors again. Some fail, some do great, but only five will remain, which means another one of them leaves House's staff! Speaking of staff, we see more of Foreman, which is a good sign, but does he come back to the hospital? Not without a few perks!

I've been wondering about Cameron and Chase. I barely see them, do they even still count as series regulars? I don't think they should. I'm also starting to like House's new crew... especially the two girls. I hope he keeps some of them.

Episode Quote: Amber: Dr. Cuddy, I'm Amber Volakis, one of Dr. House's new fellows.

Dr. Cuddy: Sexual harassment claims go through HR, Stress-related leaves through workmen's comp and any accusations of criminal activities go directly to the Princeton Plainsborough's police department.
  • Choosing 3 fellows out of 40 candidates was fun to watch for a couple of episodes ,but it's getting more and more annoying as the season progresses

    8.5
    "Great"
and we still have to deal with to many people in very ep., because in this ep we have not only 7 potential fellows ,but also three used-to-be Ducklings -that's 7 too many and it takes its toll.

It makes Wilson practically invisible -one short 20 seconds scene ,that's all he got, but considering how cold and mutually indifferent House and Wilson interacted in that short scene, maybe it's for the best.I'm still missing this friendship as it was in season one.Oh,well...

The POTW story has all the Halloween-ish spooky details - walking dead people (aka patient's hallucinations),horror dreams with evil doctors stabbing the poor girl's arm with gigantic needles and the dead god's collar appears from nowhere in the lab, but most of those were just boring and/or unpleasant, with the exception for the scenes which include House/HL - the appearance of "grandpa Walt" and House's conversation with the "dead mother" .Which makes me think that it all depends of who's acting after all -the actress, played POTW Reena, was another sorry example of unfortunate casting for the secondary characters, which is a shame -great actors playing POTWs, their "loved ones" and clinic patients used to be one of the trade marks of "House"...

I didn't like House-Cameron story in the ep.Somehow Cameron became someone in between House's "bestest buddy" (is that suppose to be Wilson's gag?) and rejected woman with evilly-foolish grin, who wants to take revenge of House using Black Mormon's hands.House is "competitive by nature" she knew that,so what was the plan -to get House punched in the face and loose 100 bucks at the same time? But for what ?Silly and annoying, for everyone who's not Hameron shipper...

But the worst part was Cuddy offering Foreman a job.And not just a job ,but a raise because "he was the one House respected"...Yes,he did,but it was a long time ago and even than to put somebody (Foreman included) to "supervise" House led to disaster.Every single person in the audience knows that ,but ,apparently, not Cuddy.Or maybe this season Foreman is "destined" to be Vogler/Tritter?If so ,I hope it would be very short ark,we are not exactly recovered from Tritter's yet...

All in all "Guardian Angels" was mediocre, filler episode of "House",I'm afraid not the last one this season...
  • POW sees dead people and one more candidate gets booted

    9.5
    "Superb"
I thought this episode was good, but not really much happened. Let's be honest, we all knew Foreman was gonna come back so not even that was surprising. I like that Cameron has even got a little House in her, convincing the mormon guy to punch House, it was pretty funny. I also really dislike the blonde cold hearted one. I think she's awful and if House doesn't get rid of her in the end I'm not sure I will be able to continue with the show, she is the most annoying and grating character, and I really dislike everything about her. I also feel as though Kal Penn is being underused. He has carried two movies (Harold and Kumar and The Rise of Taj) and also rocked in Van Wilder so there is no reason to keep him in the background so much. I like Olivia Wilde's character a lot. I am so sad that ridiculously old fraud had to go even though it was the right choice, but at least he and House and Wilson are gonna be hang out. haha. I loved that.
  • The most disappointing House episode this season.

    3.5
    "Bad"
After a promising beginning, this was easily the worst House episode of the season, if not the entire series.

    1) The patient was unappealing.

    2) Her condition was totally forgettable.

    3) The investigative process took a backseat to the soap opera drama of the staff.

    4) The graveyard scene, while easily the best scene of the episode, was absolutely unbelievable. No matter how desperate these people are, there's no way all of them would have showed up to rob a grave... not even for House.

    5) The old characters keep popping up and are proving more uninteresting with every episode. The writers, and as a result the viewers, have clearly fallen in love with the new team. I'd much prefer watching them than having the old team slowly come back into the picture.

    6) They lost Bosley, who was one of the best of the new characters. One can only hope he will return on staff within an episode or two.

    7) They even teased the show badly. They used the Walt scene in such a way as to imply that the woman really was seeing dead people, making it appear to be the episode's big mystery. Then they didn't go anywhere at all with that storyline. I would rather have seen them follow it and then use it as a reason to dismiss Cuthroat **** (funny that this word is too obscene for the site, even though it's directly quoted from the show) if that's where they are heading. It's like on of those movies that teases you in with a special effects trailer and you later find those are the only special effects in the entire movie. This episode not only failed to entertain, it deceived the audience. There were so many unrealized possibilities, especially on the heels of one of the best House episodes ever, that this one was just a huge letdown.
  • Cool - Coke Classic aswell as Coke Lite !!!

    9.2
    "Superb"
Angels scene brilliant and loved "why does he get to be bosley!" Grave digging and LSD. Cameron is motherly and CTB is manipulative.

House is great as usual and it is interesting to see how he is viewed outside his hospital. The episode is over too quickly and the characters are departing quicker than they can be developed.

Interaction with both wilson and cuddy is very limited and this is still the core area of house. The diagnosis is achieved because of houses' antics rather than by him but it is still funny to see how it is reached - because of cameron.
  • Oh House was in top form as usual as we continue to watch the team slowly come back together and the new recruits get picked off one by one. The case had us going for a minute it really appeared that the patient could see the dead. Thankfully that

Oh House was in top form as usual as we continue to watch the team slowly come back together and the new recruits get picked off one by one. The case had us going for a minute it really appeared that the patient could see the dead. Thankfully that was done by the halfway mark when she guessed wrong about House. The newbies are horrible willing to do anything to get a job. One planted a dog collar so the patient would know about number 13 error from last episode. Plastic surgeon and not a doctor fought constantly and sadly the man who's not a doctor got booted this week. The Mormon slugged House and Cameron won a bet because of this. Plus the biggest Foreman has been blacklisted and has no choice but to come back to House. Good episode with nice developments.
  • good episode. good dialogue but less interesting case. becoming more interested in the interns.

    9.0
    "Superb"
i just viewed the episode this afternoon (darn tuesday night classes). it was definitely a good one in my opinion. not the best, not the worst. first of all, i dont know when Medium crossed over to House, but this episode definitely crosses the two shows (maybe the writer was from Medium?)

anyways, good intro to the story, and i really liked the i-never-went-to-med-school guy (Henry i think?); he was just too good in this episode! i kept saying "how is this guy not a doctor?" - i mean he practically is! diagnosing his heart out throughout the entire episode and House goes along with him the whole way! the cut-throat girl is still on my nerves... what kind of person wants this so bad? and what is #13 hiding... the new cast is interesting to say the least - this is what kept me watching primarily. i really have grown to like the 7 remaining interns over these past 4 episodes.

but this episode brings up a lot of unpractical situations - digging up a corpse? a 60 year old who know more medicine than people actually qualified to know medicine? really whacked hallucinations SPECIFICALLY about dead people? weird. although i really liked the part when House said to Wilson "i just had to make her think i was going along with her... then i can talk to her about her mother" - genious. i thought the thing about "Walter" was going to prod more into House's past... and it looked like it was going too, but instead turns out to be nothing more than a play on the patient.

i'm giving it 9.0 because of the acting/writing in this episode. the cast was great, but the story wasn't. the only thing that kept me watching was the dialogue between House and the new interns and that the old cast, Cameron, Foreman, and Chase kept popping up. it was solid but not quite whole. i hope the old guy still stays around... i dont care what he does, just keep him there... with House and Wilson!
  • Not the best but not the worst either. Is that a compliment? No.

    8.5
    "Great"
p>Still not sure what to expect from David Hoselton, who wrote the great "Lines in the Sand" and also one of the worst eps ever - "Airborne". This one is somewhere in between, and not in a good way - the medical story wasn't too interesting and on the whole lacked a lot of the good energy last ep had.

The fact that the POTW acted very poorly imo didn't add either. Her accent was one of the most forced I've seen and her performance on the whole was just bad.

Liked: House "pretends to be spooked" on Wilson's couch... his relationship with Henry, (who (the character and the actor) was just great - would be nice to see him again, maybe on one of House's long forgotten Poker nights)... House alone with the patient and "her mother"...

Chase in a very small part, but a good one. If we have to have the old Ducklings on the show, then that's how it should be done - it made sense for Chase to be in that scene, he gave his observation and that was it. No need for more.

Didn't like: The fact that not only House wasn't the one who found the right diagnosis - he didn't even seem to lead the group towards finding it - that was just disappointing. The way it was revealed also didn't make much sense - 7 doctors + House didn't get it at all and just like this, out of the blue, Amber spits it out. Come on, at least make it feel real!

I always like House's religious debates, but this time around it didn't have the sharpness or passion it usually has. It was more spiteful then a real argument - I didn't like that. He deserved to be punched, but at least he knew it...

Cuddy asks Foreman back and tells him she needs him because she needs someone who can control House?! That was plain stupid. Luckily, she saved her grace at the end scene by telling Foreman to forget about his ridiculous demands. But calling him "light House" was just as stupid - he is nothing like House and it's still a mystery to me why she insists on having him around. And just when I thought she finally was written well this season.

I hate the fact Foreman is back despite all. What his role going to be but to bore us all to death once again with his annoying "I don't want to be like House" whining? What good can come out of him being around? Can't anyone just send him off to work with his dear old Marty? They can have lunches and go to conferences together and he can wear his silk shirts proudly. It's time!

Cameron - doesn't the ER give her enough things to do? How come she still has all the time in the world to keep on pushing her nose into House's business - the woman is getting more and more pathetic with every single ep. I'm SO tired of her by now!

On the whole, no doubt it's time to wrap up the choosing game - it was a great idea, but it's losing its charm rapidly. It's time to choose the few who will stay, and focus on the living, the medical story and on House. That's what the show is and should be all about.
  • Come on, you know they're waiting for sweeps for House to choose a new team.

    8.5
    "Great"
It is perhaps one of the biggest crutches in television storytelling. That, ans season finales. Buffy had the gall to make fun of that fact. House, not so much. Drawing out this team selection process reminds me of how far they drug the Tritter horse last season. My word of advice: stop! You are killing us.

Like House, I havent bothered to learn the replacement character names. Last night Colonel Doctor got cut. hated to see him go, but understood House's reasoning. House's team does need to be a reasonable sounding board. I hope the next cut is Annoying Surgeon and Dr. Five O'Clock Shadow. Dr. Kumar is most like Chase, Dr. Big Love fills the niche as Foreman, and 13 is a carbon copy of Cameron. Cutthroat is an interesting mixer, but her cons outweigh her pros.

Will Foreman actually get back on the team? Are the writers just going to bring back the original ducklings? Or replace them with near-coarbon-copies in the form of Kumar, Big Love, and 13?

If I had to choose, I'd rather it be the latter. Especially since I hope the writers have given up on changing Dr. House.
  • House's investigative procedure needs tightening up

    7.3
    "Good"
Why has House departed from his own standard investigative procedure? Is he a bit overwhelmed and confused by having so many doctors under his command? His usual checklist for diagnosis includes getting his team to search the patient's residence for fungi, poisons etc. They would have found early on the ergot laden bread. Granted, we would not have had the test of character involved in digging up a dead body, and the enjoyable resonance with the episode's theme of seeing the dead, but it makes this episode's House a bit more egotistical and erratic, and less credible, than his character normally is. Usually, he has respect for evidence and seeks it out. The character development of the new doctors is more a testament to the actors' talent than the script. The formula is requiring one pretty girl (we know 13 will get the job), one black man (Cole - that's a handy mnemonic, coal is black) and I think it's a toss up between Kal Penn and the cosmetic surgeon. I will be sorry to lose Anne Dudek (Amber). I'm tired and bored of seeing regular features, (no disrespect intended to Olivia Wilde, I think she is a fine actress) and I enjoy Dudek's capacity to vividly project a sulky egotism. I wouldn't recommend bringing back the old team - been there, done that. I don't miss Forman, I found his constant psychologising tedious; nor do I miss Cameron, who lost interest for me once she went 'bad' and unethical like House. It's important for the characters to be different from House, which is another reason I predict the Amber character will go. Chase I do miss, especially his Australian accent. I enjoyed his straightforward approach to life. Why make things complicated speculating about motives or ethics? Why not just follow the rules or follow orders?
  • House treats a person who sees dead peopl

    9.6
    "Superb"
It was pretty good. The part at the beginning with Cameron and House betting on the mormon fighting House was a little random. I have no idea where it came from or why. Also, the way te old team comes back is pretty random. Why do they always seem to come into contact with each other? It's just so weird. I'm also a little worried about how the show will turn if Foreman is working there again. I have a feeling it will make for some rediculously annoying subplots. Other than that, though, it was quite enjoyable. The medical mystery kept me guessing, and the subplot where House picks his team was probably the most enjoyable one yet. I hope the old guy pops up in later episodes, because he was pretty cool, but it's true that the DDxs wouldn't be that interesting with somebody who just finishes House's sentences. And, yes, I'm still hoping the mormon will make it.
  • I loved this but the feelings after this - I am just so sad...

    9.4
    "Superb"
I would say - I love the new people. They are different, vivid and it seems we are getting more closer looks to them, learn facts about them. I just cannot stand that blond girl who got the right answer this time. Ok - we could say that House is definitely not the best person to tolerate but the theme so far has been quite humane and caring and not out for their own good only - but she seems just not to care about anything else.

Anyway.. I loved the case.. For some times I did not even get that her mother was not there and then when House run out after she taught she saw his granddad - that was great. But House... nothing is never they way as expected. I loved the complicated structure, the humor. Adored that Cameron was little trying to influence the way how this solves. I am only sad that Foreman did not find nowhere else to stay.. I am sure it will be hard for him to work with House again and I am sure he deserves little more respect.

And what most of disturbed me - that old guy House send away - he was my favorite from all of them and I am sure there were many more much useless ones to send away. Sad that he won't be there anymore
  • Snooze material.

    5.5
    "Mediocre"
This story was boring. My favorite scene was reminiscent of Hamlet. Digging up a body was not original but funny. The new "team" is boring. Nobody has any humorous flaws. In the first season, the medical intrigue inspired. They need a physician on the writing staff. House has become too black! I need to find something I like in the main character. At the moment, I'm not sure I'll ever like House. I liked him better when I though he was a autistic genius. The physician junky is just unattractive. I liked the showed better when House walked around in a believable world. The medical story line has become more and more unbelieveable with each passing episode. The show is more of soap and less of a medical mystery / comedy. Overall, this episode was a continuing trend in the wrong direction. Lets get rid of the new team!!! They are collectively painful.
  • Slowly, but surely, the original team returns...

    6.8
    "Fair"
I wish "House" would make up its mind and either go forward with the new (and very entertaining) group of candidates for the fellowship position, or focus on getting Cameron, Chase and Foreman all back under House's wing. Personally, I would rather see the ongoing contest of "Survivor" than watch Cameron flirt with House (AGAIN) and see Foreman come to the conclusion that House was a good person to work for (AGAIN).

Patient of the week? Interesting, but irritating. She wasn't sympathetic at all and I wasn't itching to see her cured. Nice fakeout by House over the shock of his "dead Grandpa Walt" make an appearance.

Too much Cameron (her flirtation was painful when it started, and it hasn't gotten any better over 3+ seasons), not enough Wilson, Cuddy is still a waste (Lisa Edlestein can act for herself...she doesn't need a low-cut blouse to upstage her in every scene), and we lost Bosley, who was one of my favorite candidates.

I hope "House" can get back on track...either get the original three back or let them go, but don't keep us in this slow crawl to bring them back to Princeton-Plainsboro.
  • The competition to be part of House's team continues as they treat a woman who sees dead people. Dr. Foreman goes on job interviews, and House sees how far he can push one of the applicants.

    "Great"
This was a very good episode, not as good as last weeks, but very good just the same.

The competition for the jobs on House's team is an interesting plot device, and really shows the dimensions of the characters who are participating. House's dynamic is shown in a different light, yet he still remains the same old jerk that we all love. The new characters are good-not great-but good. Amber takes alot of heat, but she is supposed to. A character like that is written in the hopes that you love to hate her. In that case, the actress portraying her is doing a great job.

Having them dig up a grave, there really are no depths to which House will sink. The dismissal of the non-doctor was kind of expected, but still done very well. You kind of knew that when he was on the same page as House, his days were numbered. It made sense though, House needs people who think differently so the whole picture can be seen.

Foreman's predicament was interesting, seems that working for House is a double-edged sword. Combine this with the presence of the old team, it really makes you wonder what is next? A combination of old/new teams? or the return of the old team? Should be interesting.

Would've loved to see more of Cuddy though, always great when she is onscreen. Great Actress, very easy on the eyes!

Good episode, solid and an example of good writing and good acting. Direction was extremely good. It wasn't anything spectacular, but enjoyable just the same.
  • Another homerun for the doctor we love to hate or just love?

This episode sums up all the reasons I watch House for. Dr. Gregory House is being extra provocative, pushes his new team to new edges and still manages to make em all a bit smarter in the end.If it's actual medical knowledge or street smarts couldn't matter less.I can certainly understand why they continue to want to be part of his team after everything he puts em through.

I kinda miss the old team's dynamic but in this episode it is clear that the writers won't let me down.Even though i would really want to see a lot more Wilson vs House just like in the first episode of this season. 2 things I found irritating in this episode but they are the only reason i am not giving this a 10.The cut-throat blonde is a tiny bit annoying without adding some humor in the whole thing and the loss of the old guy which i found to be an excellent addition.

Highlight of the episode i believe is the fall of the high and mighty when Cuddy gives Foreman a suitable answer to his request.Don't get me wrong House+Foreman is a winning duet but still Foreman needs a slap once in a while to remind him that House is who he is and that's why we all love him.

    I hate the new people.

Otherwise I htought the beginning was creeppy! However, this episode wasnt all that interesting. I miss Chase and Cameron and Foreman working with house(especially chase hes the best)and I miss Wilson, he was only in the epsiode for like eight seconds same with Cuddy. The new people are everywhere all the time. I kind of hate the new people especially number 13 shes like Camerons twin and its annoying:/. The case was pretty interesting though and house is so freaking hilarious, i looooved the idiot joke. hahahah. Next weeks looks better because Foreman is back. yaaaaay.
  • Really enjoying the new season, and somewhat new format, pitting candidates against each other. Plus the best moment on tv......

I am really enjoying watching House belittle a large group of people and whittling them down to pick his new team. I wonder about the future of his old team, but it looks like Foreman may come back and the other two be supporting roles that you see now and then during the episode.

Plus this episode included the best moment I've seen on regular tv when Harry (The non-doctor) told off one of the other candidates and scratched his nose with his middle finger. It was a very short shot, but the first time I have seen this on regular TV. I laughed and laughed and laughed!!!

Looking forward to more episodes... the banter between Wilson and House is as good as ever.

Oh, on a side note. I do think House has a grandpa Walter.
  • Irene, who works in a mortuary has hallucinations and has a seizure. Cameron convinces House to take on the case. As always, House pits the competing fellows against each other. House must choose one to go.

Great episode! I was interested from start to finish, as always.

There were lots of revealing scenes, for example when House figures out that Cole has a child. I believe Cole will probably be one of the permanent ones because House has not had many doctors work under him that have actually followed the "family comes first" thing. House thinks it is interesting and new.

Also, Foreman comes back to Cuddy because he has not been able to get a new job else where. He walks in like he is all that and says "I'll take the job with a 5% raise, my own office, and a personal assitant." - Proving that he is just as egotistical as House, and he is trying to manipulate her by making her think he is doing her a favor. While the opposite is true. Forman would rather die than become or even be thought of as like House, but there he is. In all his "House lite" glory.

Amber spends the entire episode trying to feel out Thirteen. Thirteen remains guarded and secretive, which is driving her crazy. Amber is probably under the assumption that House will only hire 1 female. And in order to secure her position, she must find Thirteens weeknesses and exploit them. But Thirteen is smart, and I don't think she will be outdone by Amber.

Cameron makes a bet with House that Cole will stand up to him when he has had enough. I wasn't crazy about this part. It just made House push Cole even more. She gives him advice and tells him to stand up to House, because he will respect him for it. I wonder what is Camerons motives? Did she just feel Cole should have the job? Or is she just like House said, and she misses the job, the interactions. I wish she would go away. The whole punching bit could have been done without the help of Cameron. It also proves how much she has become like House. The Cameron of season 1 would have NEVER encouraged this type of disagreement.

Some of the funny nick names given to the fellows this episode include; Bosley - given to Henry when he is acting as his "assistant" while House is playing his "Charlie's Angels" bit with the speaker phone. Dark Religious Freak is given to Cole, referring to his religion. Some re occurring nicknames are Big Love - Cole and Cutthroat B*^# - Amber.

In the end, it is Henry who gets "kicked off the island". Unfortunately, I would have preferred Taub or Brennan. But House's reasons make good sense. They were thinking too much alike, and why would you want two of the same?
