  • It was great to have Cameron and Chase back into the mix. The former is an excellent character. What an ending too.

I really enjoyed this episode because having Cameron back was a great move. I liked how people were dealing with Kutners death but it wasn't being shoved down our throats. The case was interesting enough but for some reason I just didn't like the guy, he didn't seem too nice to me...at first I thought Cameron was related to him or something. But it ended up her secret was that she didn't want Chase to purpose because of the Kutner suicide.

I like how House and Cameron are together, they seem to get and know each other...but it's not really obvious. Finally Chase proposes to Cameron after she asks him too. A very sweet scene played very well by Jennifer Morrison. It was ending too nicely and suddenly House sees Amber...I loved how she said 'you're definitely not losing it now' that was genius. It was also funny seeing Cuddy finding out if Cameron still likes House...and the diet thing with Wilson was good too. So a really good one.
  • What a twist...(spoilers)

I was fortunate enough not to see spoilers for this episode (long ago, when I first watched it), and I didn't see the twist at the end coming. Amber's halluncination caught be completely off guard.

The whole episode was excellent- it was nice seeing Cameron again, and actually watching her do doctor stuff! I liked her and Chase's little storyline- it was probably the most we have seen of them since Season 3, and I am very grateful to that.

The patient was an arse, and very annoying, but vaguelly interesting. Nevertheless, like earlier Season's, this episode finally delivered a fairly weak patient storyline with good drama and humour. Wilson and House, my favourite pairing, were at their very best, and I loved the lesson Wilson taught him. Cuddy marking her territory was also amusing, although personally, I have been more interested in Cameron's love interest than Cuddy's- I prefered it when Cuddy and House just use to clash, rather than be love interests. It made for a fairly duff storyline earlier this Season.

Nevertheless, this episode delivered fully, and House beginning to unravel was an amazing plot twist-credit to the writers.

In this episode of House, the following happens. At a protest, one of the protesters collapses, and can't stand up and so he is taken to the hospital, and soon though Cameron the case is passed onto House and his team. But by doing this favour, Cameron has to postpone a getaway with Chase, with doesn't go down well with Chase. And so, since she passed on the case, House makes Cameron help out on the case by performing some of the procedures. Soon Doug, the patient's wife turns up at the hospital, to see how he is. We soon learn that the team didn't know he was married and that he didn't tell his wife that he was in hospital, she found out after reading his emails, and finding the referral to the hospital.

We also learn that he has a 4 year old son with his wife. We soon learn that Cameron is avoiding Chase, because she learnt that he is going to ask her to marry him, after she found the ring hidden in one of his drawers. She admits to House that she doesn't want to marry him, at least not right now. Since Cameron won't tell Chase what the problem is, he breaks up with her. The team soon learn that Doug is ill due to a rose's thorn, which has caused all of his symptoms. That same day Cameron realises that she needs to tell Chase the truth. So she does so and Chase proposes to her and she says yes. As the episode ends, we see that House can see Amber (who is dead).

Cameron and Chase get more screen time in this episode, which I thought was a very welcome addition to the show. I hope they continue to get a decent ammount of screen time with the team now down to four members, I think they could add a lot to the show with a simple 5-10 minutes of airtime an epsiode. Cuddy and House are on a one-way train to a finale kiss / cliffhanger with them being together it looks like. Cuddys sole part in this episode was making sure Cameron wasn't trying to get back with House and House is starting (if he hasnt all ready) begun to figure it out. The Wilson / House portion of the episode was better then I thought it was going to be at the beginning. Wilson tests House to try and get him back on his game - though we find out that Amber is the one who is still haunting House, not the death of Cutner.
  • Here comes mommy…I mean Cameron!

Finally an episode that brings Cameron and Chase together, no more "Foreteen" (they haven't mention anything about Huntington Disease or their stressed relationship in the last 5 episodes) The medical case was pretty lame but the soap opera was "top notch", in 42 minutes we had Wilson's doing pranks to a confuse end insecure House; Cuddy marking her territory against Cuddy and everybody running away from "Bossy Cameron" (so that one coming!) very touchy scene with Chase and Cameron in the locker room giving the viewers a sense of closure to an open storyline since 2007, plus the "I see dead people" angle in the last minute between Amber and House (Characters that look great on scene)….is a must watch, very fun TV!

I had hoped this episode would will deal with Kutner's death and it did so in so many ways. It was never really explained "who and why" Cameron owed a favor to a doctor, but it was enough to get her and Chase into this entire episode.

In this episode you can really see that Cuddy has feelings for House. There have been times in the past where it has come up, but now, with another women that might be a threat, it shows itself.

Poor Chase gets the worst part in the whole thing because Cameron cannot tell him the truth from the start that she is afraid to get married because of Kutner's death and what she has been through before. One of the best parts of the show is when Wilson tells House: "What could be more normal than me scr@wing with you?" And House replies: "You malnipulable b!t*h."

The other part is the ending seeing House play the piano and harmonica. Hugh Laurie is a wonderful musician and to hear him play: "Georgia on My Mind" was awesome.
  • The ripple effect from Kutner's death continues!

After Cameron postpones her vacation with Chase everyone starts thinking that it's because she has feelings for House. House is still copping with Kutner's death and begins putting extra pressure on Cameron because his intuition tells him that she is avoiding some deeper issue. What he discovers is that Cameron is nervous that Chase is going to propose due to a realized mortality brought on by Kutner's death.

The medical case for this episode is also interesting. It deals with an environmentalist who cares more about his work than his family. Ironically his work ends up being somewhat responsible for his medical condition.
  • Lots of fun

There's quite a lot of fun in this episode (another clinic snippet, glad to see a few of those this season) as House gleefully tackles a number of mysteries both medical and personal before panicking that he is losing his mojo. The Chase-Cameron plot makes no sense except in the world of the American TV writer and the patient-of-the-week must be the unluckiest person in the world (SPOILER he catches a disease from the only commercially-produced flower he has ever bought in his life). However, the House-Wilson game is a lot of fun (as it has been consistently this season) and everyone is still remembering to give House his human side just to counter-act the incessant insults.

Just one great episode after another - bringing something to the table, but developing characters. Good to see Chase & Cameron getting squared away. God, I love house. I wish he was a real person/doctor - we would get drunk together and play music (I'm a musician)! Someone was wanting to know where to get all the episodes to all the seasons. www.housemdvideos.com is about the best site I could find, and I've looked everywhere. Thing to do is, download the VLC player (it's free, google it), then download the episodes from above website. Depending on your connection, episodes download pretty quickly and the quality is SUPERB!
  • The aftermath of Cutner's death and the solution to Cameron and Chase's relationship

    8.0
    "Great"
This was a good episode, but I expected something much more exciting after Cutner's death in the previous one. Instead of presenting us with a new twist or even pursue House's theory of Cutner having been murdered, which he developed in the previous episode, the writers choose to bring in Cameron and Chase as reinforcements. Now don't get me wrong, it was nice having them around and I was curious as to where their relationship was going anyway, but after the whole season practically without them it was a bit of a rush to devote almost the whole episode to them now. With the new team being damaged by Cutner's death the writers should've focused on them and given them more screen time instead of pushing them aside like this.

Another thing I didn't get in this episode was Cameron's reactions to House. She doesn't usually respond like this to the things he tries to do or say to manipulate her, in this episode she was way too receptive and it made me wonder, whether she isn't still secretly interested in him after all. She was about to break up with Chase for good and when House saw through her behaviour she went back to Chase and accepted his proposal. Is she really in love with him or is she marrying him because she wants to prove to herself that House doesn't have that kind of effect on her anymore? I sure hope it's the first one, Chase is a good guy and he deserves better than being used.

The storyline with the patient was interesting, and environmentalist who puts the environment and his activism as his first priority, and his family as the second. Is a good cause really worth sacrificing everything to it, and if you do and you hurt the ones you love, are you doing the moral, good thing, or the exact opposite? I suppose it lies in each person's judgement. All in all, nice epi, but I expect to see more processing in the next ones - and I hope more Chase and Cameron, so that they get re-integrated in the story.
  • With Kutner's suicide still fresh, Cameron brings a case to House involving a tree-hugger that lost his land legs. Delaying Chase's planned vacation, the team asks if she's replacing Kutner's empty shoes. Off we go...

This episode was a decent one. It always makes me smile to see House and Wilson pulling pranks on one another. On the other hand, I wish the writers would have done a better job tying this episode together with Kutner's suicide. The end of that episode leaves everybody teary-eyed and curious, this episode answers no questions. Chase and Cameron get married, Cuddy marks her territory in fear of Cameron/House involvement and Amber's ghost makes a cameo at the end of the episode, reminding House that his mojo never disappeared? Awesome piano/harmonica combo at the end of the episode.

  • It could have been a very good episode, if we were watching "General hospital"…

    7.0
    "Good"
t could have been a very good episode, if we were watching "General hospital", or any other of House's beloved soaps. But since the show is still called House, it's really not a compliment.

After a few episodes which showed some promise that House may be on track again, we get this one, which is nothing but a set of winks to all the "shippers" of all kinds. The writers now try to copy old episodes, but one can't but help feel that this is a total fake. Of course, many of these "shippers" would be utterly delighted with this episode, but not so the hard core fans, who watched the show from the beginning for it's brilliant writing and bold characters. This was especially noticeable on the cafeteria scene, with House and Wilson eating and laughing – the exact replica of them at the end of "Damned If You Do". But back then it was so natural and justified – House solved the case, Wilson wanted to avoid his wife and the holiday celebrations, and both were taking it easy after all the tension and religious/philosophical discussions they've had all through the episode - one of the best ever. Here there was nothing like that - apparently both House and Wilson lost all of their cultural references along the way. Now Wilson tries to shake House by pulling a prank of a 3rd grad level of "switching" to health food… The lame dialogue between them doesn't even remotely remind us of that witty and meaningful dialogue back then. On tops of this, unlike in Damned If You Do – here the patient clearly doesn't interest either of them and the whole scene just emphasis the huge gap between this episode and the old one. It just demonstrated again how far the show is from the high level of writing it used to have. As for all the rest – it was just boring to no end. The patient was such a one dimensional caricature of an environmental fanatic it was hard to identify with him or care if he lives or dies. The Cameron and Chase story was so silly - we're supposed to believe that Chase really needs a vacation "because of what happened", while Foreman and 13, who were the ones who found Kutner, are back on track like nothing ever happened. And then we get Cameron, again with the dead husband routine and all teary about poor Kutner - seriously… And then there's the whole "happy ending" engagement story, which just emphasized the total lack of chemistry between them. But the good thing about that is that maybe they'll finally get married and move somewhere else. It's about time. But worst of all was the silly "Amber ghost" hallucination, which just showed how desperate the producers are now – brining a character from the dead is the cheapest trick ever and the first sign of Jumping the Shark. It was one of the silliest moments this show has provided us. What's next? Maybe Amber will come back on a permanent basis as House's private ghost? How sad. I guess there's nothing much to expect from the rest of the season. Hopefully the producers and writers will get their act together after the summer break and decide to once again focus on interesting medical cases, meaningful dialogues and reliable characters.
  • Protesting the world.

Well, fans who have been clamoring for more Cameron and Chase got their request fulfilled tonight in an episode dominated by their relationship struggles. As far as sappy wedding proposals on TV go this was fairly enjoyable for what it was, in large part because House does not often do this sort of thing.

The episode also had a lot of laugh out loud moments from House, and the House and Wilson dialogues were better than average as well. Even the medical mystery was fairly entertaining despite not getting the time most often on this medical show.

Let us hope that House continues this wave of momentum it has been riding to the end of the season.
  • An environmentalist has a debilitating disease that has House and his crew stumped. Cameron helps out on the case to avoid a vacation with Chase.

    8.0
    "Great"
This ep has all the hallmarks of a great installment of House, it has a compelling case with some nice subtle scenarios playing out. With Kutner's death hanging over them, they all have baggage that is affecting them in their work and personal lives. But under all this is a pet peeve that underlies a fault that keeps coming into House more and more as the seasons go by.

This week House has a patient that has been handed to him by Cameron who tells House that she owes the refering doctor a favour. Chase has organized a vacation with her though and the more time she spends with the patient the more worried Chase feels about their future together. This story arc was nice as it moved away from the patients and back to the old crew which is always great to see. It also adds another layer to the characters as you see them more personally rather than just seeing House in this light.

Back to the patient, he's an environmentalist that contracts a disease that is attacking all through his body. The usual occurs as three quarters of the show go by and there are no positive results, but something new happens this time. Finally they get to a point and no one as any idea where to go next. That said House still figures it out but still, it is nice to see them stumped even if only for a minute or two.

Now comes the problem with this ep that stops it from being superb. The crew spend ages talking about what House is thinking or want to be thinking or what House is thinking about thinking. Just shut up and do your job, let House do his and stop trying to guess what he is thinking. It would be really annoying if you had to listen to 3 people talk about what they think you are thinking and it does nothing to advance the plot. But other than that yeah this was a good ep.
  • Cameron and Chase!

    9.0
    "Superb"
As much as I wanted to rate this a 10 just because Chase and Cameron got a lot of time, there were some things that annoyed me.

It was great to see a lot of Cameron and Chase although I was hoping Cameron would be on the case for the whole episode, not just the beginning.

I didn't know Chase and Cuddy had the type of relationship that they could talk about loving other people. I know Chase has always been insecure about House but it is strange he would ask Cuddy.

I'm not a House/Cameron fan but Cuddy is getting ridiculous, giving her whole speech to Cameron about House. Here I thought she was supposed to run the hospital but I guess she is more interested in people's personal lives. I don't see why it is any of her business whether Cameron is in love with House. Cuddy didn't even want Cameron and Chase together in the first place so why does she care if they are good together? Also, she interrupts House, during an examination where she has no idea what House is examining might I add, just to see if Cameron wants to get with House. She makes her speech about nobody being good with House and she is all jealous over Cameron's time with House. Good for Cameron on calling it out. She can feel safe now that Chase and Cameron are engaged. "Have you retraced your steps?" Haha, great quote by Wilson. And his game with House was funny, although I figured it out with the carrots.

It's not surprising Cameron was feeling scared over finding Chase's ring. Their relationship seemed to have been progressing real slowly since she only gave him a drawer the other episode. House seemed almost human with his conversation with Cameron when she first told him about the engagement. Jen and Jesse both did a great job acting this episode, especially since it has to be hard for them.

The ending was pretty dumb. Shore and Jacobs keep saying that they loved Dudek. If they loved her so much, they should have made her a part of the team or at least not killed her. She is dead, keep her dead. I realize this leads to House's breakdown, but this just seems like a stupid storyline.

Most of the episode was good, but this is the second week in a row when the patient was on the backburner. It is pretty bad I had to think for a minute or so just to remember the diagnosis.
  • Saviors is an episode that gets back to houses roots

    "Perfect"
Saviors is an extremely good episode of House for a lot of reasons. First off, it gets back to the roots of what made house and wilsons relationship amazing, one of them messing with the other. Another reason it's good is because it finally allowed us back into the lifes of our old friends chase and cameron. Third of all is that the patients storyline is pretty good unlike the past few episodes because it was very interesting and quite strange. I also really like that you can tell that house is feeling some actual feelings since the loss of a co-worker. I love House and im rarely letdown!
  • Life, love, and screwing with people.

    9.0
    "Superb"
It was a very nice and very wise move to do this episode after the events in the last one that had the characters embracing and running from the things that make them feel alive. Some have said that this episode tosses the death of Kutner to the wayside - I say that this episode takes it and runs with it.

For Wilson, it's returning things to the status quo with his friendly battle of wits with his friend, House, who is so mythophobic that even a simple change of diet sends him in a Quixotic quest to find answers even when there may not be any.

For Chase, she sees something coming that she's not ready for and uses Kutner's death as an excuse to avoid it. When she turns and embraces it, it is one of the most touching scenes I've seen on the show in a long time.

The medical mystery that balances the plot is more closely related to the life and love and screwing with people plots than it first appears as House fears that he's lost his "mojo" when it comes to diagnoses, not really because he can't find the answer to the disease, but because he can't find an answer to Kutner's death.

This was a great and quiet followup to last week. A perfect choice for the characters to get back into the groove of things.

Oh, and the cliffhanger? That was excellent.
  • Wow.. emotional and mm.. shocking

    9.0
    "Superb"
This episode seemed to have so many layers, so many stories and people with different agendas going on.

I really liked it concentrated on Cameron and Chase - old team should sometimes get more focus and that was great storyline even if in the middle, it looked like it will end in tears, the ending was really sweet and beautiful. That kind of positive story after last week very depressive storyline.. great change.

I also liked the storyline from Wilson - what a clever thing to do. There always have to be reason for House and to use it against him - great idea.

But I think even more than that.. the fact what we saw in the end.. wow.. I did not see that coming.
  • Back on track...and with a few twists.

Now this is what House is about. But first, I am glad that they didn't dwell too much on Kutner's passing. From the group, one could feel that all that could be said has been said. Now it's time for them to personally absorb it all in and process it for themselves. That doesn't mean that issues won't come up, but the awkward "he's dead" feelings are gone.

Now I didn't feel much for the sick tree hugger but his medical problem was very interesting and House had to really work at it to figure it out. That's a markof a good House ep.

Wilson screwing with House....very nice. About time someone got back to that.

And with all due respect to the Kutner angle...Chase and Cameron getting engaged took me off guard more than Kutner dying. I due hope they actually make it to the alter.

And if there isn't a House CD of all the music they have played, they should have one. House playing (or whomever is really playing) is so good.

And the Ghost of Bi_ch Past has came. Another twist I didn't see coming. House looked totally freaked out. But we had to expect something...the House Universe was just going too good at the end.

YAY! Chase and Cameron are getting married (hopefully)! Any way, this was a great follow up to last weeks shocker, and very reminiscent of some of the earlier seasons. The case in this one much better than in many of the recent shows. Wilson messing with was simply classic. The first 30 minutes were good, but it was the last half that made this episode. In the beginning, Cameron convinces House to take the case of an environmenatalist. Again, the beginning was a little hard to through, but when the end came, it all worked perfectly. This episode was written very well, with a brilliant curveball at the end.
