  • It was an okay episode...just a little too...well...weak for me. Love, Meagan

I liked this episode, I really did, but I was expecting more on the whole "13 is dying" aspect of it...

All this episode really gave me was that she had (emphasis on HAD) a problem, but it was fixable. Plus, to tell the truth, no one even seemed to care. (Except Foreman...)

Once again, I did like the episode, I just thought it was a little...well...weak.

I'm so sorry if anyone was offended by this, I am just speaking my mind...

I like House A LOT (and I mean a lot!), and I watch it every week, I was just a little bit disappointed in this episode.

    Love, Meagan

I thought this was one of the best episodes in a little while, although I have to admit the whole Foreman and Thirteen thing did ruin the episode slightly for me. I think their storyline went a little bit ridiculous this time around, although I thought it was good of House to protect Foreman as much as he could.

Cuddy's tricks on House were amusing, if slightly cruel. It gave a new dimension to House's character as we see him not fighting back, showing personal guilt. It was a lovely piece of acting at the end of the episode with House and Cuddy "playing the roles they feel they have to play". The patient was interesting, although the writers really need to focus on them more! I liked the effect she had on Wilson and Taub (the former actually being a doctor in this episode!), and how they both moved on a bit with their lives. The diagnosis was also brilliant.

A slight problem with the episode is that this was the big 100, and there was no sign of Chase or Cameron, who made the show what it was. A slight insult I think.

Overall, however, a good episode, marred slightly by trivial annoyances the writers seem intent on including these days.

In this episode of House, the following happens. The team have a patient who used to be a doctor, and who was close to curing a disease. It also seems in this episode that someone is out to get House. First the elevators are down, but they work for everyone else and then someone sets up a trip wire in his office, which he falls over. Foreman soon sees that there is something wrong with 13. After he does a simple test, he tests her about him switching the drugs. Soon 13 is getting worse and so an MRI is ordered for her. During the MRI, Foreman sees that she has a tumour. When Foreman goes home to see 13, we learn that she has now lost her sight. She is taken into the hospital and try to repair what has happened o her as well as trying to make her tumour go away. After tests are run we learn that the woman, who used to be a doctor, is bleeding no-stop due to an operation she had a few months before. 13 becomes better and so she gets her vision back, and the first person she sees is Foreman. Foreman later rings the drug trial company and tells them what has happened.

This episode was a little different it the interaction of the main characters and is somewhat sad at points. I was getting choked up in the last scene with Wilson; he really misses Amber.

The story is about a lady who was once a leading cancer researcher and is now in a cooking class. She collapses in the middle of the class and ends up Dr. House's patient. Cuddy starts playing some pretty mean practical jokes on House to pay him back for making her come back to work and not take care of her baby. House decides the best way to win this war is to not react to her games.

The clinical trial continues for Thirteen and Foreman has stitched out her placebo for the real drug because it seems to be working for other patients. Thirteen has adverse effects and looses her vision, develops headaches, and develops a brain tumor. House and Foreman perform an emergence procedure on Thirteen to radiate the tumor. The procedure seems to be successful because Thirteen gets her vision back. Foreman calls the drug company in the end and lets them know what had done and he is banned from future trials.

The patient who initially came in has had a multitude of symptoms, mostly bleeding. One side effect was scratching through her skull to her brain. House finally puts it together and realizes that a previous procedure caused some problems, making her bleed out from everywhere. She was currently on her monthly cycle and the bleeding from that was causing the problem. She would require a procedure after her monthly cycle was over to fix the problem and she would be back to normal.

This episode was very special in that it made some of the team members take a second look at themselves and what their motivations were. Well except maybe House.

A former cancer researcher collapses in the middle of a cooking class, and the team is forced to reevaluate their own lives when they learn she gave up a promising career to seek personal happiness. Meanwhile, Thirteen suffers adverse reactions from the clinical trials, and Cuddy gives House a dose of his own medicine. I really am starting to miss the good old days of House. At this point I wonder if the show is ever going to be able to return to the glory that it had in the first three seasons. They have gotten away from the personal side of things, or at least the personal side that we care about. Cameron and Chase have been replaced by what - Foreman and Thirteen? No one cares about Thirteen and the fact that Foreman is with her has made him an utterly useless character. The episode was average, just like seasons five and four have been. The episodes always have some funny moments between House/Cuddy House/Wilson, but beyond that the show has simply lost everything that once made it so addicting to watch back to back to back for days on end.

First off, I would like to say i re watched Painless, and I was totally wrong, a lot of people were wrong. Painless was a great episode. I think that I was waiting so long for a new episode, the hype built up in my head, and I was initially disappointed, but in watching it again, Painless was a great episode. As far as this current episode goes, it was quite good. I am looking forward to next Monday's episode.

Does anyone know how many episodes this season is going out to? I hope it goes out to 22. I wonder if this season is going to end with 13 dying and cameron coming back on the team. I am also looking forward to the 3 episodes of House on USA NETWORK TONIGHT
  • Every new episode I hope for something more than the usual formula they stick to so firmly and again I`m disappointed. This one was nothing special, although there is enough suspense to keep you wondering what`s gonna happen next, and what's the verdict.

This episode was so much by the general formula of all House episodes that it almost looks like they took an old episode and updated the soap opera part. The only thing that really kept me glued till the end was the curiosity about the verdict, as always, and this time the verdict was downright ridiculous. I don`t know if it makes sense medically, but it sounded like one of those creative twists in the story where they`re trying so hard to make it an unexpected turn of events that it doesn`t sound plausible at all. The side story of Thirteen`s side effects to the drugs seemed ridiculous in its own way, and was just a crude way to dramatise things between her and Foreman. The only believable thing about this episode was the petty philosophy they try to slip into conversations in between medical jargon. This time it was actually realistic and for once it didn't sound as weird as every patient who came in with a mysterious illness who suddenly got all philosophical with the doctors.
  • Don't get me wrong, I do think it was a very good episode, just nothing original or special.

House is obviously an amazingly good series, with great casting, cutting-edge dialogue and among the most interesting medical show scripts. But I got the feeling in this episode that they have reached a dead-end, and are somehow standing hesitantly in the middle of the choice they have to make. Either continue as is or take things into a whole new different direction.

Forman and Thirteen are continuing to be together and Thirteen's illness is emphasized once more, when her symptoms deteriorate due to Forman having switched her from the placebo to the real drug. Forman is forced to come forward and tell his employers, and as a result gets fired from the clinical trial and his career as a researcher is ruined. Now he has to work for House infinitely. Cuddy is trying to get back at House by inventing all kinds of cruel pranks to punish him for not allowing Cameron to replace her. She makes him climb up the whole set of stairs to his office and sets a wire trap in his office's door. And in the middle of it all Wilson tries to get over Amber by washing her coffee mug, and a cancer patient ex-researcher reveals the meaning of life to everyone.

I expected something more original and powerful for the 100th episode, and as it has already been pointed out, I expected to see Cameron and Chase in this episode. But more importantly, the show has to get over the things we are already used to (cheeky irony, insults, House/Cuddy mindgames and competition, Forman being professionally enslaved to House, dysfunctional relationships etc) and come up with something new and refreshing. I'm not saying dump the whole lot, after all these things are what made the show a success and what we love. I'm just saying it needs a boost of some kind, an injection of freshness and originality to keep it going. House's amazing personality and the way he interacts with other people and with his own emotions is a vehicle that can be taken so much further. So let's see that potential developed!

The medical case was very interesting, personally I have a friend with endometryosis, so this case was very informative for us.

The plot between Foreman and Thirteen was full of tension, and House giving advices to Foreman was something sweet to watch.

The "war" between Cuddy and House was something funny to watch, it was like Cuddy trying to dominate House and demostrating her angry for her stay away to Rachel.

THe plot about Wilson missing Amber, was very sad, but it was necessary for show us something that we was begining to forget: Wilson still miss Amber.

    In fact...An amazing episode...The number 100 !

This is another episode with rather strange House Cuddy interaction. In a good way this time. Here we see House unwilling to escalate the (rather mean) pranking by Cuddy. It appears House does not want to chance making Cuddy hate him and accepts that she is angry with him. We also have the side line with 13 and Foreman. In which, we learn that Foreman now really has no choice, but to work for House forever. This is not necessarily a bad thing (for the viewer anyway). The case once again seemed a bit underdone this episode. I look forward for a really exciting one. The patient just did not seem to care that much about the whole thing and didn't have too much interaction with House. Though I suppose she got Wilson to try and move forward.
  • Pretty lame for the big one hundred

Apparently my views are different from most people because I didn't like this at all. I don't know why it got such a high rating.

I've been complaining about this ever since I heard about it. Chase and Cameron not even in the 100th episode is crap. I understand Shore not wanting to make a bid deal about it but the fact of the matter is, it is a big deal. They had a celebration on set when they hit it and they had a charity event the other week celebrating it. They didn't have celebrations for any other episodes. It is disrespectful to Jen and Jesse who helped make the show a hit in the first place.

Cuddy wasn't happy about coming back to work and is blaming House? House had a lot to do with Cameron quitting, but Cuddy also had some to do with it. She should have trusted Cameron more. She found out about the radiation test Cameron approved so she was obviously checking up on her. And then she undermined Cameron's authority during the surgery. I realize Cuddy apologized and Cameron said she was quitting because of House, but I'm sure at least part of her decision had to do with Cuddy not trusting her.

Why do they keep taunting us with 13's health problems? In Lucky 13 she got fired, in Last Resort it looked like she was going to die, this episode it looked like she would be too sick to continue working, and next episode it looks like 13 or Foreman will have to quit. We realize you (the writers) love 13 and she isn't going anywhere, so stop teasing us.

And what is up with Cuddy? I'm pretty sure if you added all of House's pranks he has pulled on her, you won't equal one of the pranks she pulled this episode. He never physically harmed her before. And what if someone else would have walked in the office first and tripped over the tripwire? At least Wilson was able to get her to stop.

Speaking of Wilson, the writers actually remembered he was a doctor.

What is up with all the kids/babies? First Cuddy, then 13, now Taub.

So.. I am not even sure what to think.. For my surprise the development on 13 and Foreman storyline did end up well and for most of the episode, it seemed to be the main focus - I only felt when they took it up, they should not solve it so easily. She just becomes viewer again?

Anyway, the case.. it looked little off the focus as Foreman and 13 was stealing the time, but the case did get some impact on Taub.. and maybe they need something new from him.

And the House vs Cuddy in House level was quite enjoyable too but the biggest impact was the end - when it started with Wilson doing cleaning I did not get what the mug meant.. for the end I did.. and the decision he made.. That way they did it.. stunning.

The Greater good was ultimately one of the best episodes from this season. We finally had character development and interaction between all of the characters. House seems to be getting back to the first couple seasons where all the characters intertwine. The plot continually gets better, and the writers seem to always know when a great episode is needed. The Greater Good seemed to be leading up to what should be an explosive end of the year for House, and it is one season finale that I will not be missing this television season. Seemingly House gets better and better...

I really liked this episode because we got some more information on Foreman, Thirteen, Wilson, and Taub. I was pretty hooked with Thirteen's situation and her struggles with Foreman. Wilson let go of his feelings with cancer researcher turned chef and it was a great moment. He normally only shares with Cuddy or House, you know? I loved that we got to know more about Taub because I normally hate the guy. He worked for House because he wanted to make a meaningful difference even if it meant having his salary lowered and his pride bruised. Overall, the plotlines were pretty intense, suspenseful, and dramatic. It's House, after all! Oh right, House tripping on the wire was just the cherry on top LOL. Long live Fourteen! :)

I really enjoyed the Greater Good because it moved me in a lot of different ways. It made me happy to see that House will help Foreman do whats right and is grooming him to be exactly what House himself is, a person that does whats right for the patient instead of what is protocol. I also enjoyed this episode because finally Kutner showed some real emotion towards Foreman when he saw how sick 13 is. Also, i really felt for Wilson and his struggle to move on after amber. House is a show that has top of the line writing, acting and characters and it shows it week in and week out!
