Tough, fast talking, Italian is exciled from his Chicago home to the alien world of Texas. There he meets his new laid back, southern gentleman of a partner and the sparks start to fly immediately. The partners hit the ground running on a double murder investigation and attempt to meld two very different but equally plausable styles of police work.

Other than some very cliche stereotyping of the two different cultures, this show is very good. The writters do an excellent job setting up the backgrounds and foibles of each main character and provide very telling statements by use of the supporting cast. This show wasn't scared of being PC, that's for sure. The shows word play is wealthy with colorful idioms and euphemisms. Other than needing a Texan-English dictionary or an Italian-English dictionary on occasion its pretty easy to follow. I'm looking forward to reviewing each episode as I watch it. Hopefully, this will be one of the "dead" series that gets revived on DVD.moreless
