    "Great"
In the Season 1 finale, Ted has decided enough is enough. He wants Robin. So he goes to crazy measures to make sure she does not go on the station camping trip with the arrogant Sandy Rivers. Apparently Barney knows a girl who saw someone perform a rain dance before. And somehow, just somehow, (In the words of Barney, "Oh, come ON!") it starts pouring. Ted declares his love for Robin at her doorsteps and they're finally "official". Meanwhile, Ted comes back the next morning to see Marshall on their doorsteps holding Lily's engagement ring, indicating Lily left for San Francisco. Indicating this will be a long summer for not only Marshall, but the others that have to deal with him. Don't like the move by Lily, but everything has its obstacles and here's a big one that few could probably clear. But I liked the episode as it was a good ending to great first season of How I Met Your Mother.moreless
  • Worst episode ever!!!

    "Poor"
This was one of the worst season finales ever! That whole Ted & Robin deal has been annoying & stupid since day one (totally bad karma to be the catalyst for a breakup the way Robin was w/Ted & Veronica) & Marshall & Lily breaking up was absolutely horrible!!! They're the best part of the show!!! It's one thing to have cold feet & to wonder 'what if I pursued this dream' but to break your engagement to the man you love?!?! No, that's just wrong!!! This might as well have been the series finale if they don't bring Marshall & Lily back together & break up Ted & Robin. Let's face it, Robin's a pain in the a$$ & doesn't deserve someone who loves her as much as Ted does. Marshall & Lily were the best, this ending sucked! Worst episode ever!!!moreless
  • Ted needs to make it rain.

    "Perfect"
"Come On" is an awesome season finale for How I Met Your Mother. In this episode, Ted is trying to win Robin's heart. I love how Amy Acker guest stars in this episode and she plays a girl named Penelope. I love how she tries to teach Ted how to do a rain dance when she has never actually done a rain dance herself. I love how Ted makes up his own rain dance and makes it rain. I love how he goes to Robin saying he did the rain dance to make it rain, so her camping trip with Sandy would get cancelled. The episode definitely had sad part with Lilly leaving Marshall. I give this episode a 10/10.moreless
  • Robin and Ted finally get it together, while Lily leaves Marshall...plus a rain dance thrown in for good measure...

    "Superb"
I admit it, I like Ted and Robin. I find it believable that he keeps coming back to and for her. I guess though I have some concerns about what happens next. According to Future Ted, Robin isn't the one. Oddly enough, that makes me a little sad, because I think the writers have done an outstanding job showing how right they are for each other in so many ways. I guess the Marshall and Lily storyline had to go this way. It is TV, people are always going off to find themselves. It will be interesting to see how all of the characters react to Lily's departure. Marshall and Lily's relationship kind of acted as foundation for the rest of the group. The last scene of this episode was perfect. Ted in the cab completely excited about finally beginning his relationship with Robin contrasted perfectly with Marshall sitting in the rain clutching Lily's engagement ring. I consider this show somewhat of a guilty pleasure. I started watching while sick, but the last scene was really well done. Here's hoping it provides a good jumping off point for next season.moreless

This Has To Be One Of The Most Amazing Season Finales I've Seen!

You Cant Piss Off The Universe =) But He Just Made it Rain!

Barney & Ted's 'Fight' In The Bar, About Penelope Was Pure Genius, 'Ted Your Forcing Me To Be The Voice Of Reason, And Its Not A Good Look For Me' I Would Say The Only Let Down To This Episode Was When Lily & Marshall Go To Dinner At Red Lobstar, I Just Found it Pointless.
However The Scene After Makes Up For It. 'Why Do You Want Me To Pause' Such A Great Scene!!!

The Major Part Of This Episode Was The Hilarious Rain Dance!Very Beautifully Done =)

The End Song, This Modern Love, By Bloc Party, Is A Personal Favorite Of Mine. The Scene Between Robin & Ted, Gave Me Amazing Hope, Since They Are My Fave Couple.

& Just To Sayy POOR MARSHALL =(

With Amazing Guest Stars From The Angelverse =) Makes This An Amazing Season Finale!moreless

    • Ted: Robin! Hey!! Robin!!! Oh, thank God you're here! Robin: My camping trip got rained out! Ted: I know, I'm sorry. Robin: It's not your fault. Ted: Yes, it is. Come down here. Robin: But it's pouring! You come up! Ted: No, you have to come down here! Robin: Why? Ted: Why? Because I MADE IT RAIN!!! That's what I did today!!! And that's enough! I..I've done my part, now GET DOWN HERE!!! Robin: I'm not dressed, Ted! Come up! Ted: I'm not coming up there, Robin. I'm not. You HAVE to come down here! (Robin looks at the blue French horn Ted gave her. She grabs an umbrella and heads for the door. She opens the door to find Ted there) Robin: I was gonna... Ted: I know. (Ted and Robin kiss)

    • Ted: You're seriously considering going on this thing, are you? Robin: Ted, it's a company camping trip. I have to go. Ted: Really, cause it sounds like you're going for Sandy—and his weenie.

    • Sandy: I got offered a job at CNN. Robin: That's great! I'm happy for you. Sandy: And for yourself, too. Joel asked me who should replace me as lead anchor, I told him you. They're making the announcement next week, act surprised. Robin: Thank you, Sandy! And yes. I'll have dinner with you. Sandy: How 'bout this weekend on the camping trip? I roast a mean weenie!

    • Ted: That girl, Penelope, she was majoring in Native American Culture. Are you still in touch with her? Barney: Yeah, of course. Even though we slept together, we still get together occasionally to talk about our lives—of course I'm not in touch with her!

    • (Ted trying to make it rain) Ted: Come on! Come On! COME ON! (it starts to rain) Barney: Oh, Come ON!

    • Penelope: Okay, crouch down and bend over a little bit. Barney: Wow, it took five shots of tequila to get you in that position. Penelope: I will throw you off this roof. Barney: So much of your mom in you...

    • Lily: So what's this big, beautiful, romantic gesture? Ted: I am going to make her...a mix CD. (Pause) No, I'm kidding. I got a plan.

    • Ted: Have you ever seen a rain dance? Penelope: (weakly) I've seen a filmstrip. Ted: Terrific...Uh, look I should run. I'm getting brain surgery from some guy who's seen a couple of episodes of ER.

    • Ted: Penelope, I really need to make it rain this weekend. Penelope: Why? Ted: There's this girl... Penelope: (laughs) There's this girl? You know, the traditional rain dance is a sacred prayer to nature. I don't think the Great Spirit looks too kindly on white dudes who co-opt it to get laid.

    • Barney: Ted, do you want me to slap you again? 'Cause I kinda enjoyed it the first time.

    • Ted: I'm crazy about you. I think we should be together. What do you say? Robin: Yes. No. Maybe. Ted: Those are the three options.

    • (Barney slaps Ted across the face) Ted: Ow! What the hell? Barney: That wasn't me, that was the universe.

    • Barney: You are forcing me to be the voice of reason. And that's not a good look for me!

    • Penelope: Why the hell should I help you? Barney: Come on, I know it didn't work out between us, but we did have a relationship. Penelope: (thinks) We had sex twice in your car and then you dumped me. H-How is that a relationship? Barney: (thinks) Twice.

    • Penelope: This wrong guy, is he a huge jackass? Ted: Absolutely. Penelope: Kind of like Barney? Ted: Kind of. Barney: Hey! Penelope: You hit on my mom! Barney: We weren't exclusive!
