Robin is desperate to find her “something old” she buried in Central Park years earlier for the wedding. Meanwhile, Marshall and Lily ask for Ted’s help packing for Italy, and Barney bonds with Robin, Sr..

The gang works together to plan a legendary bachelor party for Barney.

The Captain asks Lily to relocate to Rome for a year to work as his art consultant, but she is afraid Marshall will resent her if she agrees. Ted and Barney notice a beautiful woman wearing a puffy coat and become obsessed with finding out what she's hiding.

Ted and Barney's future versions attempt to persuade present day Ted to go see Robots Versus Wrestlers. Marshall and Robin have a dance-off.

After Ted and Jeannette part ways, Barney steps in as matchmaker using the supposedly-destroyed Playbook. Meanwhile, Marshall gets some unexpected attention at an art gallery opening where Lily is battling to make a good impression.

When Ted receives an unexpected call from The Captain the gang reminisced about their last awkward encounter with him.

Ted is reluctant to break up with his crazy girlfriend Jeanette. Meanwhile, Robin becomes attached to Marvin after finally holding him for the first time.

Robin's past as a Canadian pop star is revisited when Barney uncovers the lost episode of a music documentary series in which she was featured as Robin Sparkles. Marshall and Lily have some concerns about Ted's latest girlfriend.

Robin finds out that, the world is harder with a ring. Marshall is trying new outfit which looks, that Lily loves. Ted is dating a younger girl and Barney isencourageing him to hold her from some reason.

After Robin and Barney get engaged they start planning the wedding, however they still need Robin's dad's permission for it to happen. Meanwhile Tedstruggleswith letting Robin go. Marshall and Lily have troubles with Marvin, who never stops crying.

Conclusion. Christmas approaches and Ted wrestles with whether to tell Robin about Barney's intentions involving Patrice, while Marshall and Lily get an early Yule gift, a night away from Marvin, but a case of separation anxiety strikes and threatens to ruin the evening.

Part 1 of 2. Robin takes steps to have Patrice fired from WWN, while Marshall puts a jinx on Barney. Later, Ted invites his architecture professor to the dedication of the GNB building; and Marshall and Lily bump into an oddball acquaintance from college.

Barney's developing relationship with Patrice leaves Robin questioning his motives, while Marshall's widowed mother gets back into the dating pool, but he thinks she may be swimming with a shark.

A determined Robin goes to great lengths to get back together with Barney. Meanwhile, Ted substitutes as Marvin's nanny, leading Marshall and Lily to realize that Ted is using baby Marvin as a replacement for his other baby…the GNB building.

Marshall takes on his old friend/new nemesis Brad in the biggest case of his career. Meanwhile, the gang reminisces about their own run-ins with the law, leading to a debate over who was the biggest delinquent as a teenager

Marshall recommends his old law school classmate Brad (Joe Manganiello) for a job at his firm, but the interview goes awry, leaving Marshall to do damage control with his boss (Joe Lo Truglio). Meanwhile, Robin helps negotiate Barney's return to the strip club circuit

Barney helps Robin break up with Nick when she is hesitant to do so herself. Ted and Marshall play basketball, and Lily and Marshall desperately look for some time alone.

Ted asks Marshall and Lily for advice as he considers the future of his relationship with Victoria. Robins discovers that Barney's new wingman isn't human.

Marshall and Lily are looking for a Nanny to care for their little one. Their selection pool is less than ideal.

Barney gives Quinn a very exhaustive pre-nup, leading her to respond in kind. The guys put forth their own relationship standards, that the girls find unacceptable.

On the day of her wedding to Barney, Robin suffers a panic attack. To help with her anxiety, she calls upon Ted to tell her a story and calm her nerves.
