How I Met Your Mother

The episode started with Lily decorating the apartment and making it a "Winter Wonderland" as Marshall calls it. He's off to finish a paper for school and doesn't want to see it untill he's finished.

While Lily is busy decorating she finds their old answering machine and plugs in to to see that there's messages on it. One of the messages is from Ted to Marshell try to convenice him to get over Lily and calls her a "Grinch" (they don't tell us the real word but just refer to it as Grinch) Ted realized that Lily has heard the message. Ted trys to explain that it was after she walked on an Marshell and was just trying to make his Best Friend feel better. Ted and Lily argue about and then Ted goes down to the bar to hangout with Robin and Barney.

Ted goes back to the apt with a beer to make up with Lily. He said that what they did in college to make up with eachother. When Ted, Barney and Robin get back to the apt they realize that Lily has taken all the "Winter Wonderland" decorations to her apt in the Bronx. Ted takes the train down to Lily's apt to convence her to come back and she refusses. Ted desides he's going to spend CHristmas with his sister since Lily is upset with him.

Meanwhile, Barney is sick and Robin is taking care of him.

Marshall comes home to a winter wonderland and gives Lily a package. He tells her that he ordered it a while ago and it was lost. He had to run down a truck to stop and get Lily's package off of it. The driver tells Marshall that he won't be able to deviler all the Christmas packages by the end of the day so Marshall helps out. When Lily opens the present its an Easy Back Oven that she had always wanted since she was a kid. Lily asked Marshall how he new she wanted it. Marshall tells Lily that back in college she told Ted and Ted told Marshall that she would want it. Lily it touched that Ted had remembered all those years.

The group decides to go rescue Ted from his family with a beer. When ted opens the door to see his friends he's thankful. Him and Lilly say their sorry and Lilly say it's ok I was kind of acting like a "grinch". Ted's little cousin hears the word and asks him what it is. (Keep in mind Ted's sister's family is very religous) The other 5 kids hear thier brother say grinch and they alll start chanting "Grinch, Grinch, Grinch..." as ted and the gang run home.
