  • Ted teaches Barney how to be the perfect boyfriend.

"Robin 101" is a pretty entertaining How I Met Your Mother episode. I love how Barney is not used to being a couple with Robin. I love how he sneaks out of bed as if it was a one-night stand. I love how Barney starts changing into the perfect boyfriend so Robin suspects he's cheating. I love how it's revealed that all this time Ted is teaching Barney everything he needs to know about Robin. I give this episode a 9/10.

  • We see how the dating with Robin and Barney has been going. Then Robin discovers the Robin 101 class Ted has been giving Barney once a week and Barneys notes folder. We get to see the many sides of Robin from Ted's practiced eye.

This episode started out with a very funny shot of Barney climbing out the window at 3 am like he would with any other girl he might sleep with. Classic Barney and classic Robin. She takes it all in stride and reminds him they're dating and to get back into bed. He does, falling back into bed face first asleep. Funny bit.

The episode slows a little at this point as we have the Lilly and Robin bonding part of the episode where Robin confides she thinks Barney's cheating. When Marshall comes in he inadvertently spills the beans. Forgetting the barrel bit, Marshall tells about Ted teaching Barney about Robin.

So we get a peak into the life of Robin 101 as taught by Ted. Barney has such a short attention span he confides in Ted he has that AD whatever the other letter is syndrome. He couldn't pay attention long enough to get the last letter. He seems to pick up on Ted's interesting thoughts and I think they will serve him well.

Of course Robin finds out and in the end she doesn't seem that mad. I mean he wasn't cheating and it was to better his relationship so she couldn't get too mad.

Another entertaining episode with the gang. I think in a lot of ways this show has become more of a modern day version of friends in a weird way. I guess not too modern as Friends just ending in 2004. Thanks for reading...

HIMYM has finally managed to produce a decent episode after a really really long time. This wasn't drop dead funny, but at least it kept the stupid and dumb story lines(ex: Marshall's barrel story) to a minimum.

The show still need to work on figuring out stuff that actually reflects the attributes of characters. For instance, Ted repeating 'bowl' a hundred times to see if it sounds weird is ridiculous. It simply makes him look like an idiot and is not funny at all. On the contrary consider a scene like- Barney involuntarily climbing out of the window at in the middle of his sleep. This is definitely funny, and it does look like something Barney would do.

The Robin101 class was a good shot at doing something reasonable, and it did work fine. Fine improvement, but not awesome to give a 9 or a 10.
  • It was OK, but nothing special.

This was a decent episode in my opinion, but it wasn't overly exceptional or anything like that. I liked the plot and storyline, with Ted teaching Barney about Robin, but I felt it dragged on and got a little boring at some points.

There were a good amount of funny moments in the episode, but something wasn't right, in my opinion, and I didn't think that this was as good as some episodes we have had in the past.

I wouldn't recommend this episode highly, but it is still a worthwhile watch, in my opinion, but I still will recommend this show, because it is great.

Hopefully it only gets better from here!

It's all uphill so far, I'm just crossing my fingers that it doesn't go downhill & crash & burn, stay down for a while, get fixed & go up again, only to find out it was still broken and it crashed again. That was season 4, except there were a lot more ups and downs afterward. I've been really impressed with the first 3 episodes of this season. It took me by surprise how good this season has been. It's been really funny. In this episode, Robin suspects Barney is cheating on her when he's being super nice to her, only to find out that Barney has been taking a class about her taught by Ted. This episode definitely had a lot of character & relationship development. We definitely get to learn a lot more about Robin which is always awesome. The pictures and displays, and all the lessons were absolutely hilarious! They were all so true too. Robin freaking out about it was also funny. The best part is when Robin comes to confront Ted & Barney while they're in class. Then after a few jokes, it becomes serious, and it gives development to Barney & Robin's relationship. At first, I didn't think they're relationship was that serious. Until Robin said "I love you" for the first time in Robin speak, when she says, "You're an idiot" to Barney. While all of this is happening, Marshall wants to give away a beloved barrel he's had for years. But no one takes it. That plot was okay, I'm glad they didn't overuse it or drag it on for long periods of time. An enjoyable episode.

Sometimes you can learn a lot about yourself or another from others. This is another good episode that I thought was funny.

I'll admit the only weaknesses of the episode were the bowl joke which I though was annoying and out of place, Ted was sort of out of character in that moment. And the subplot with the barrel was also a bit out of place, it was funny but only in a small way.

What I really like about this episode is we really do get a lot more depth into Robin. It's actually a pritty interesting concept constructing a class out of a person, when you think about it you could almost do it with anyone. Ted in this episode really shows he teaching skills and their actually very good.

I really like all of the charteristics that are pointed out which are funny because as we discover their actually true. I really loved that slide show on Robin, how Ted aquired pictures on her charcteristics is anyones guess. But from what I see some of her behavor is comically bizzare.

I'll just present one of them because I don't want to give too much away. For example, when Robin gets too hungry she does one of three things, one she laughs histarically, two goes into a state of narcalpsy, and three which is the worst goes into a state of unrelenting anger. Loved how both Barney and Ted when they saw that picture they looked a bit nervious, I don't blame them with that look she looked like one of the Scanners from the film "Scanners".

Despite Robin trying to disprove of the charctertics presented there really is no two ways about it, because they do prove to be true like what makes her calm down. Though right about one thing that though each break up people do change, a little if not a lot. And each new relationship is always a different experence.

But what also drove the episode was Barney, may'be taking the classes wasn't entirely the right way to go to know his girlfriend more it really showed he wanted to commit, he did want to do a better job at his role. He is aware that he had a problem of being too use to being single which created some bad habbits he's haveing trouble shaking off, the funnest one was seeing Barney sneaking off but then Robin caught him. But of course in the end he really did learn something, that the best way to learn about the other and yourself is simply experence alone that you can't learn from a classroom and putting that book in the Bermuda Triangle showed he unlearned what he learned, he didn't need a book to tell him who his girl only he can.
  • Ted puts Barney through a Robin 101 class so he can keep her. Meanwhile Marshall tries to give away his old barrel, Mabel.

Since season 3 wrapped up this show has been lacking direction and in all honesty was just not as funny as it once was. Since this season kicked off, leaving the memories of a really mediocre season 4 behind them, the show seems to have found its direction again. But what this third ep offer HIMYM fans is the laughs again.

This week Robin is worried that Barney can't be in a relationship and starts to think maybe things just can't work. Ted tells Barney this and he freaks out, to help Ted decides to create a Robin 101 class for Barney. This helps Barney learn more about Robin and give Ted some practice at being a professor. Ted starts to dish all the things he knows about Robin and soon Barney begins to be a kind and caring boyfriend. This leads Robin to think that Barney is cheating on her but wants evidence before confronting Barney. She is able to break into his breifcase where she discovers his note book from Ted's class.

Meanwhile, Marshall clears out the storage basement of the old apartment to find his old barrel, Mabel, that he had at college. He decides to give it away by placing it on the curb outside the apartment, which he and Ted dubbed the Bermuda Triangle. The theory is that when you place something by the curb it will almost immediately disppear. You can imagine Marshall's disappointment when no one takes the barrel as Marshall camps by the window waiting for someone to take it.

This ep was the funniest ep since season 3 and if the laughs and the direction of the show stay in tact, we could have a really great season of HIMYM on our hands here!

One of the best recent episodes of this Series

    Must watch this one

Cant remember the last time I Laughed this hard

So many great scenes in this one

    The classroom was hilarious

The episode goes to show how Ted teaches Barney to be the best boyfriend to Robin by teaching him everything he knows about her

Meanwhile Marshall tries to give away his barrel named Mabel by leaving it on the Bermuda Triangle (ie: The Sidewalk)

The scenes between Barney and Ted in the classroom was simply classic

It's been along time since this series has stepped up the laughs and I believe this is going to get better
