The Fortress was reta-rdedly over the top. The characters have become caricatures of themselves. The show should have ended years ago. Except for a handful of episodes, the last three seasons were mediocre at best. Between the show's quality decline and the incessant breaks between new episodes, I've lost interest.

Should be called, how I never met my wife for 8 long seasons!

This show has become seriously unfunny! Not even Barney (who's been P- whipped) can bring back the humor that once was.

The over use of canned laughter doesn't redeem the show.

Finally, a good use for Sassy Marshall. It was a bit obvious from the start of the episode that the fortress of solitude wasn't leaving the Stinson family, mostly because it's a set they would have to completely replace (and just look at how often we see Ted's new apartment). The Lily/Marshall storyline was incomplete, but it's nice to have the reminder that not every argument has to be a huge one - that there is an easy resolution. Ted's hookup left a bit of a bad taste after he's decided he's ready to find the one. He's just going back on his word again (like I predicted he would) and wasting time between now and the wedding. An okay episode but not nearly top-notch.moreless

I appreciated the jole of Ted being such a fan of the show he was watching that he posted to the forum 15 times, and wanted credit for predicting the storyline before it happened. This website should post a clip of it to the homepage as an homage.

I enjoyed the Superman jokes, especially Barney's description of first 3 movies. Was dead on, and funny.
