  • Robin may get deported back to Canada if she can't get another job.

"The Possimpible" is an average How I Met Your Mother episode. In this episode, Robin gets a notice that she needs to get another job or else she'll get deported. I actually thought Barney's video was cool, but useless for a resume. I love how Robin gets a job by the end of the episode. This episode did a make point that there's some things that don't need to be added to resume. I love the flashback and you see Lily after her hot-dog eating contest and get to see Alyson Hannigan's baby bump. I love how the gang makes fun of Marshall for having "Dancer's hip. I give this episode a 7/10.

  • Robin must get a job or face deportation.

The show truly is a one man affair right now as Barney was the only one who said anything even remotely funny here. This episode was so bad that words cannot even do justice how bad this was.

The deportation storyline has been done on just about every sitcom but usually a prerequisite for it being funny is that a stereotypical foreigner such as Babu from Seinfeld or Fez from That 70's Show is featured, not a Canadian.

And how awkward were those Barney commercials? Who possibly thought that was funny and worthy of a good 5 minutes of television time? I want to slap that person.
  • Another boring useless episode. I was quite disappointed about it.

Barney yet again blocked out his feelings for robin and she was still blind. Not too much ted or lily and small amounts of marshel. The story line was not as good as i had thought it.

Though the writers must of added in the part where lily was hotdog champion and added in the baby bump which was obvious. I cant wait for the next episode and hope it will be better than this one, as this one was like last weeks and nothing happend. We did however find out more about teds past which had nothing to do with the plot what so ever!

    Overall.....boring!
  • Barney Stinson that guys awesome...*SPOILERS*

I'm not really sure why people didnt like this episode i myself fond it hilarious. We see Ted past as a radio dj which was so dorky but it was definately amusing watching marshall and lily own him while he was on the radio

Also the video barney made for himself was so classic barney it was legendary... then he created a song for it himself... what wont this guy do...

Throughout this whole episode Robin was going to get sent back to get sent back to Canada and in the begining we see how much barney actually cares for her when marshall goes well you could always get married barney gets down on his knee... then at the end barney saves the day by getting her a job Again shows how much barney will actually do for robin Overall this was a great episode

  • In this episode, Robin receives a late letter that she will be deported back to Canada if she fails to find a job in her field in one week. The gang then helps her to find a job.

I find this episode to be VERY entertaining. Thos eof whom who say this is boring, i think should go watch a story with a "good" story line such as Heroes. I am going off topic a bit, but heroes has an amazing storyline, but many viewers are losing interesting. Does plot line really matter in a show like this? Its hilarious and always makes my day. This is a How I Met You Mother classic, this show isnt about plot advancement, its about the daily life of the group the plot is just there to create structure, and also remember this is a very unique sitcom. Like a mix of family guy and friends. Its jokes are "stupid" in a way which , personally make them hilarious. The writer of the episode(S) is real genius. This episode was just hilarious. I also find all the main characters to be amazing as well, especially Neil Patrick Harris. This review is incredibly biased, since I myself actually have a sense of humor unlike others who look for ingenious plots in these kinds of sitcoms.
  • Great show!

I loved this episode! Barney was really outstanding in it (of course) he always is!! The video was awesome!!I did find that they didnt use the other characters too much but that was okay, barney always delivers! The hot dog thing was kind of funny, using her baby bump in the episode was cute! Also ted was a huge loser in college, we know that much! And Poor Marshall, I really enjoy his character. I love when they talk about Robin being Canadian and her video taking place in Red Deer, Alberta and no one knowing where she is talking about! I being a Canadian myself, enjoy all of the jokes!
  • Someone please deport the show...

This is exactly what happens when you run out of ideas, and you look for goofy themes to make a funny storyline. Things have turned so pathetic that the writers want to cash in on issues such as job losses and immigration to produce a decent 20 minutes of airtime. NPH looked as though he had rehearsed the lines 10 minutes before the shoot. The delivery was so artificial, that it failed to evoke any laughter. His sexually charged jokes, are not more funny and he has started to remind me of the Todd character in Scrubs. I don't even wanna get started on the other, as they are pathetic as always.

Seriously, I already have a boyfriend. But if I didn't I would want to date one of the writers of How I Met Your Mother. They have such visiativity! I wish I could meet one of them. I mean the actors play it spectacularly good, but there are actual people (brains) behind this show that I admire so much. Being part of a team and working on something like this would be the best job ever. The possimpible is not just a new word, it gave a boost to go do things after watching it. Doing what you want to do, because everything and I mean everything is Possimpible! Legensome! Awedary!

This show has become way too one sided. We have Barney being cool, and that's it. The show simply relies on Barney. If Barney has a good storyline for the episode, it seems everyone else is just kind of there to fill the screen.

I loved HIMYM in the first 2 seasons, but this and the 3rd season is just really going downhill.

The constant focus on Barney makes his character much less interesting, and also somewhat annoying. It's like, chocolate is great, everyone loves it, its magical. But what if you eat chocolate ALL THE TIME? It gets boring... This episode had lots of Barney(again) and yes, his storyline was good, but the rest of the cast seems completetly non existant nowadays, just like in this episode.
  • very good episode, barney's resume was too funny. Barrney Stinson, Barney Stinson, he's so awesome!

very good episode, barney's resume was too funny. Barney Stinson, Barney Stinson, he's so awesome! Robin has lost her work visa, and is going to be deported if she does not find a job in a few days. So Robin and Barney start making her a video resume because her original one was rubbish and no one wants to hire her. Robin also goes to a few auditions but they do not wotk out. This episode is very hilarious, one of my personal favourites, i recored it and will never delelete it! Neil Patrick Harris is a great funny actor as usual and never disspoints me with his acting!
  • What is so great about this episode to get such fabulous ratings?

This episode wasn't terrible, but I have to tell all of you, this episode does not deserve more than a "7" rating, compared to all the amazing episodes in seasons 1-2. The thing that annoyed me about this episode was Barney's video resume, it ran on for too long, it was probably funny at first, but when the song came on, I started to look away and do some paperwork to wait 'till it was over. This is a Robin-centric episode. And in this episode, she finds out if she doesn't get a job and 7 days, she will get deported, so the whole episode is her trying to get a job, and her failing miserably. She even tries at being the lotto girl, that was pretty funny with the judges. She even resorts to making a video resume with Barney. The B plot is everyone's resumes. Lilly put that she won a hot dog eating contest, Marshall put that he is a dunk champion, and Ted put he was on a radio station in college. Some things you just have to let go. For some reason, all those mini resume plots didn't do much for me. It was pretty average this episode. I couldn't rate it too low, because it was eventful. Barney gets Robin a job, with good pay and a prestigious title right when she has to leave. Average episode, but eventful.
  • Heart warming and hilarious. You gotta love Barney's video resume!

Robin discovers that she only has four days to find work as a television reporter or she will be deported back to Canada. Willing to try anything to avoid deportation, she agrees to let Barney produce a new reel and video resume for her, but pulls the plug on the project when Barney's directions become too ridiculous. However, Barney comes through for Robin in the end, after putting together a video resume from footage they filmed before Robin walked out. Meanwhile, Ted, Lily and Marshall update their own resumes to more accurately depict their credentials. A must see episode to say the least.
  • Barney helps Robin make a video resume so she isn't deported while Marshall, Lilly and Ted try to get over the stupid things they put in their resumes.

    "Good"
Don't get me wrong this ep was funny and it had all the hallmarks of a strong HIMYM ep but something has been frustrating me over the coarse of this season. You see it is called How I Met Your Mother, not 5 Friends Coasting Through Their 20's. I have just about enough filler eps that lead no where.

This week Robin finds out that she has a week to get a job or she will be deported back to Canada. Barney suggests she does what he does and make a video resume full of buzz words to wow prospective employees. She agrees but soon gets fed up with the pointlessness of it all and eventually gives up to the lowest point of TV journalism (Lotto Girl!).

Meanwhile the other 3 discuss the achievements that they have on their own resumes. Ted can't let go of his days as a college radio shock jock that no one listened to, Marshall wants to hold onto his days as a Minnesota Slam Dunk Champion and Lilly still boasts about her record of 29 hotdogs in 8 mins record. Most of this segment is used to poke fun at Marshall for his "dancers hip".

Like I said all funny just fillers, side stepping the whole concept of Ted's future wife. The whole basis of this show was a great attempt to make the very stale sitcom formula interesting but instead they have dived head first into the safe choice. The comedy and wit is still there the writers just need to stick to the objective even if it is baby steps.
  • Episode starts off in a cliche way.....and baam we find a letter which states that Robyn should leave the country if she cant find a job within 7 days...the group try to sort the matter out but Barney comes up with his own master plan to solve this issue

Well..as It is...HIMYM had really lost its charm in season 4 compared to the totally awesome season 3 and season 1..season 4 is just like Barney says AWFSOME .......although this episode was a really good one...usually my reasons for watchin the show are usually Barney oriented and thankfully they had some focus on him...though I didnt find the concept of the episode that interesting but the jokes, well they were nice enough.........this episode didnt actually have some "moral"lesson like most of How i met episodes do...they were just playing silly for the entire plot.........if they just try to improve the story line of each episode and also the screenplay for ted, marshall, lilly and robin...perhaps we wouldnt be sulking at how i met afterall!!
