Barney tells Ted his training is complete when he picks the hot girl over him. However this is a violation of his Bro Code: Article #1 - Bros before Hos. Historically, Ted has always upheld the Bro Code, but this action is in violation of it. Edit

Marshall leaving the bar at the end with Lily marks the first time a character has exited the booth towards the camera. In previous episodes, different camera angles have shown that the booth is actually against a wall, which is why the characters have always exited away from the camera. Edit

When Marshall finds his "You can call me Beercules" video on the Internet, the subsequent video made following his later visit to his old friend Peter is already shown in "Other Views".

When Ted calls Marshall on his phone, which ten years from now is supposed to show holograms of the caller, Marshall's hologram is shown with the same hairstyle he wears today, but in previous episodes showing flash forwards to ten years from now, like the college reunion in "How I Met Everyone Else," or when he opened Lily's death packet in "We're Not From Here," Marshall had a receding hairline to the point of baldness, just like Marvin, Sr. Edit

When Lily was lying on the couch at the end of this episode, main entrance to her apartment was behind her head. When Marshall came in to the living room he came from the kitchen direction, without his jacket and with glass of wine and there was no possibility that Lily didn't see him before, but she was surprised to see him. When solving the love story between Ted and Zoey, Marshal used Clue characters. Ted wore only purple throughout the episode as Professor Plum, Zoey wore only white as Mrs. White, Barney only wore green as Mr. Green, and Honey only wore red as Miss. Scarlet. At the beginning of the episode, when Robin has cooked dinner, it appears to be burnt. Robin says she thought the oven was Celsius, but Celsius readings are lower than Fahrenheit, so the food would have not been burnt. Edit

Marshall told Robin that they never hang out together and today's dinner is the first time when there is just two of them. This is not true, because in "Little Minnesota" Marshall took Robin to his favourite pub with a Minnesota theme and then to Hoser Hut, a Canadian bar. Edit

When Lily tells Ted about the skateboarding dog, we see the event in flashback with Robin, Barney, and Marshall on the left and Lily and Zoey on the right by the bar. But when Marshal tells Ted he changed the course of Blitzstory, we see the same flashback, but this time The Blitz is suddenly there and is the most prominent person in view. Edit

When Ted is talking to Zoey after he met her husband she told him 'You wanna make this personal? Okay.' but when she is saying the 'okay' part her lips don't move. Edit

When Lily starts listing her perfect baby names, her first choice is Tara, which is a reference to another role played by Alyson Hannigan, Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Willow, who was in a relationship with a character named Tara. Edit

At the bar, Ted points out the route on his laptop. When they all jump up and start racing each other Ted takes the laptop with him. As soon as they leave the bar the laptop is gone and we don't see it again this episode. Edit

The guy that wears a calculator costume says, "Clear everything" as he points to the CE button. It actually stands for "Clear Entry". The "C" (sometimes "AC") stands for (All) Clear, which clears everything. Edit

Closed Captions: At the end of the episode when Barney tells Loretta that she was his father, closed captioning has Older Ted (Bob Saget) saying "Kids, Barney would learn the truth about his dad sooner than he ever could have guessed. But as he hugged Loretta on this, the last day he'd ever set foot in his boyhood home, he realized he had one hell of a mom."
