How I Met Your Mother

CBS (ended 2014)

  • Season 3 Episode 20: Miracles

  • Ted and Barney end up in Saint Anthony's Hospital. Marshall talks about miracles while there. Saint Anthony is the saint of miracles

  • When Ted and Stella are arguing at the hospital, there are couple of Jell-o cups on the tray behind Ted. As the scene progresses and there are camera changes, one of the Jell-o cups disappears.

  • When Ted is getting into the cab we can clearly see that the identification number on the cab is 6Z28. But seconds later it changes to 9Z72.

  • Season 3 Episode 19: Everything Must Go

  • When Lily is approached by Abby, she "has no idea who she is." But before Ted started dating Stella Lily goes in her office for an appointment and thus must have met the receptionist Abby and should've recognized her.

  • When Lily is talking about how the dress Robin just bought had gotten her a "two-syllable 'damn'", she says it took place in 2004, yet she has dark hair. If that had really taken place in 2004, Lily would have still had her red hair.

  • At the beginning of this episode, when we flash back to when Lily was approached by Abby (when we didn't know who it was), the girl has straight hair. In the episode where that originally happened, the girl had wavy curls in her hair.

  • Season 3 Episode 18: Rebound Bro

  • When Lily is talking about her longest sex drought, she remembered back in San Francisco. When she was in San Francisco, Lily's hair was red and short, but in the flashback, Lily's hair is darker and longer.

  • Season 3 Episode 17: The Goat

  • Ted mentions at the end of the episode that the goat incident ended up on his 31st birthday instead of his 30th. However, in "The Wedding Bride" there is a reference of the goat in the movie; Ted and Stella had broken up and, therefore wouldn't have been at his 31st birthday party.

  • Lily asked Robin if Barney was all smooth "down there." In the second season's "Columns", Lily paints a nude painting of Barney. She would already know the answer.

  • The "birthday goat" is first mentioned in the season 1 episode "Milk". The episode begins with Ted's 28th birthday party and concludes with him mentioning the goat incident on his 30th birthday.

  • We learn Ted's birthday is April 25th, 1978.

  • The Bro-Code articles:
    1) Bros before Hoes.
    29) A bro will in a timely manner alert his bro to the existence of a girl-fight.
    34) Bros can not make eye contact during the devil's three-way. (two dudes)
    53) A bro will when ever possible provide his bro with protection.
    87) A bro shall at all times say Yes.
    89) The mom of a bro is always off limits. But, the step-mom of a bro is fair game, if she initiates it and/or is wearing at least one article of leopard printed clothing.

  • Barneyism - Barney uses the word "bpeg" when saving Robin's naked body to his memory. He explained that a bpeg is a "boob image" in the episode Where Were We?.

  • Season 3 Episode 15: The Chain Of Screaming

  • When the picture of Lily falls off Marshall's cabinet, you can see the book "The Power of Me". Marshall had left that book at Stella's office in two episodes ago.

  • Goof: At the very beginning of this episode, during Barney's line 'Ted this is New York City,' you can clearly see Lily's mouth move in time to the words right before cutting to Barney saying the line.

  • Season 3 Episode 14: The Bracket

  • Future Ted says that the website went on to get 400,000 hits. However when the site is shown onscreen, the visit counter says it has already received 510,005 hits.

  • At one point in the episode, Barney asks why some woman that he's slept with and screwed over is trying to ruin his life. Lily states that it is karma but Barney dismisses this by saying it can't be Karma because she's stripping and Vegas and that they're on friendly terms with each other. At the end of season 7 episode 16, it is revealed that Quin (who is to become Barney's future fiance) is a stripper who is also named Karma at the strip club that he frequents. Coincidence? I think not...

  • One of the women shown in the middle of Barney's flash of pictures of the girls he "lied to, seduced, and abandoned" is none other than Madeleine Albright, former U.S. Secretary of State. When Lily is looking through Barney's scrapbook she says she recognizes " government official", and on the tournament board of the top 64 girls that Barney has slept with there is a "Madaline" in "The Village" who makes it into the final 32 as "Madeline", who Barney points to on the board as the woman who thought he was Jorge Posada and who Lily says bought Yankees season tickets to watch him play!
