The wrestling federation's name is CCW, for Celebrity Championship Wrestling. This is not the first time the CCW name has been used, it was first used by Continental Championship Wrestling starting back in the 1950s until the company was sold and the name was changed to Continental Wrestling Federation in 1988.

Butterbean has appeared twice in WWF (now known as WWE) pay-per-view events. He wrestled Marc Mero at 1997's In Your House: Degeneration X and won by disqualification. In 1999 he had a legitimate boxing match with Bart Gunn at WrestleMania XV. The build up to the math had Bart Gunn winning the WWF's Brawl for All where certain wrestlers on the roster participated in legitimate boxing matches. Butterbean would go on to knock Bart Gunn out in 27 seconds.

Dennis Rodman wrestled for WCW in 1999 at their Pay-Per-View Road Wild. He wrestled Randy Savage and lost.
