  • I was 17 years old. Don't remember what had me go see this show, who I went with, nothing. Hard to summarize, remember only pieces, but they are memories that have stayed with me all these years, for reasons to be disclosed in my review.moreless

I remember - Frankie Avalon, teen idol, played a tune on trumpet for some reason.

Opener Sam the Sham forgot the words to Wooly Bully, had to restart. Repeat, Sam forgot the lyrics to WOOLY BULLY!!

Lada...Wow, remember I was 17. Nothing on line as to her current situation...anyone know?

And finally, "I'll Feel A Whole Lot Better". In my life so far this was my first blown away music moment. McGuinn on 12 string! It's fair to say that my music "life", still a major component 40+ years later, started that day. Still a hugh McGuinn Dylan Parsons etc fan. While it might seem extreme, I think this is the most important song ever performed on Hullabaloo.moreless
