I thought the pilot was good. I never really took it serious I just thought it was over the top fun.

I think that's the point of the show anyhow. It's not supposed to be taken serious. It's more like James Bond than 24 with fantastic action scenes and a little humor used at the right times. I enjoyed the pilot and will keep watching the show with interest. It looks like Guerrero is going to be solid comedic relief too. He had some great lines.

Umm James Bond isnt serious? (casino royale an quantum or solace anyone?) but yeah I like the show.. I dont like the "client of the week" approach though, Id prefer an actual ongoing storyline. do "xxx of the week" shows actually last long? I mean sure CSI (and its million other spinoffs) are "case of the week" type shws but the characters in it have storylines going on behind the scenes (like in csi that one guy that was a traitor or w/e) etc etc

I thought it was pretty terrible. The dialogue was awful and delivered poorly. There were some parts that didn't make sense, which is made worse by the fact that this isn't a complex show to begin with. The only good performance was by Tricia Helfer.

I agree with Goodridd, I enjoy B-style action shows, but this one didn't have anything that even redeemed it to the level of a B-show. Every joke, every plot twist had been done before, it just doesn't add anything to the television world. I won't be watching it again.

I liked it a lot, actually. Pure fun, interesting characters. The thing that bothers me however is that it will be a problem to find such an interesting setting for each episode. This time it was a crashing train, next time it will be a plane. And.. well, what's next? A ship? Something in the mountains? It seems to me, that without the right setting, with Chance acting just "on the streets" the show will lose a lot of its charm. So its either have to have a big buget or incredibly smart script writers. And I'm not sure, that it has those things. But well, lets hope.

good pilot episode. there were moments i went "oh god" because of a cliché moment .. like the part where he paused at the door , turned his head a bit to just say his name

bit confused on the last minutes of it, though i loved seeing danny glover even if it was for like a minute - i think the whole scene was too short

It might not have much depth story-wise, but this show has great ambience and AWESOME fight scenes. The quality of the hand-to-hand combat choreography almost made me think I was watching a Bourne movie.

His new movies are but the older ones always were a bit tongue-in-cheek and had ridiculous ideas and scenes. I bet there will be some sort of a story arc, a lot of it surrounding Chase's past, but nothing major yet. It'd be pretty sweet if they did have mini-arcs or a season long arc full of conspiracies and such.

This has got to be the best set of characters working on one fun show. I hope the writers can keep up with the possiblilities...and the fun. It's pure escapism at it's best. j

I agree totally with you guys...just pure fun! I recommended it to friends as the new "Jack" in town. We have a J Bauer (love 24) without all the real violence. Human Target is more what I've always referred to as comic book violence. Then I read that the show is actually based ON a comic book! How neat. I'm a little ticked that I missed last night's episode since the pilot was aired on a Friday and I expected it to follow on Fridays!

This is a fun chessy action romp of course it has cliches and of course the stories are ridiculous but if your looking for 24 with a sense of humor this is your show. I like the whole cast James Mcbride, Mark Valley ,liked him since Fring, and we even have a sociopathic nerd and they're all great in their roles. Great job on the well know tv guest stars nice to see Tricia Helfner from Battlestar Galactica.

I thought i'd give this a go seeing as a few of my regular shows have either season ended or on holiday so to speak.

The pilot was okay and have given the 2nd episode a go, mixed reactions and will give it a few more episodes before i make my mind up, has promise but i think it will be a one season wonder ( how many episodes for season 1 i don't know )...

    My two penunce worth.

@Dan: It didn't even occur to me that that was TH until I caught her name in the credits. It was like ... whoa. What a difference a red dress makes.

Same with Katee Sackhoff in "24," I suppose. Very different characters, very different presentations.
