    What do you think:

Are the fights arranged or real fights?

The Savate fight looked pretty much arrangend to me...i just don't think, that the French fighter did fight at 100%!

I don't think they are arranged persae...I do think that the Savate fighter took it easy on Bill but I don't think they told him to do so I think he just figured he should but towards the end of the fight you can see the Savate guy get pissed off and start a huge combo so it looked like he realized he shouldn't.

I don't think that the fights are arranged. Like someone said before the practitioners take it easy on either host because of their inexperience in a particular martial art.

I don't know about the style being weak but that champion wasn't too impressive he was clearly winded and put on equal footing with and by an amateur. I just thing the champ brought the style down but one of the cops or Savate master would have done a better showing imo.

I agree the style isn't weak but that guy didnt make it look good and yea one of the cops would have easily taken Bill down.

It just seems weird. They always show the champion first in one of his other fights and he's messing somebody up. Then these two bums fight him and he just kind of stands around and maybe lands one good blow near the end. It might not be set up but it sureisn't full-out...

I do not think anything is worked in the end-of-show matches of Human Weapon. More likely, the black belt or high level practitioners of the focused martial art is taking it easy on the American co-host. This was especially seen in the first episode about Muay Thai. Thai boxing is a brutal sport but it lreally looked like the champion was taking the fight very lightly against Jason. In the second episode though, the Filipino guy was more serious in the end-of-show bout. He broke Jason Chambers' finger during the eskrima match!

It does seem like they are taking it easy on Jason & Bill, but in almost every fight there is a point where the "expert" gets PO-ed and takes it to the next level.

Not fixed at all. I think I think the reason that Bill fared better against the Savate expert than prior episodes is because it was just a better match-up. I think in all the matches, all the combatants including Bill and Jason had good sportsmanship, but wanted to win.

Based on what I know of Savate...which is about nothing besides what was on Wikipedia and what was shown on the show, I think Bill was able to tie with the guy simply because Savate seems like a rehash of Taekwondo and Karate plus the cane fighting.
Bill had just gone toe to toe with a Karate Black Belt in a prior episode.

I believe that as Jason & Bill train more and more in various styles, they will both eventually become good enough to take on any style practitioner efficiently.

Some of the fights seem arranged, but I don't think any of them are.

Host Jason Chambers has stated that he dislikes the notion that the shows refer to them as "fights," because they were more of a "sparring match."

Sorry, no source, but if you look it up, you'll find it.

don't forget that they're [jason & bill] also practitioners in other martial arts, which helps them out a little bit.

there are some things that just manifest in many different martial arts.. like the roundhouse kick, which i saw in many human weapon eps
