Episode Recap

As the teachers of West Lakefield High talk about the firing of another co-worker, Stanley, Ray fixes his collar in front of a mirror, trying to conceal a fresh hickey. His name gets called over the PA system, and he is asked to proceed to the Principal's office. While awaiting his fate, Ray thinks back to the days which have led to that moment.

Brian, Ray's former basketball teammate, inspects his home and estimates the cost of rebuilding it. Already burdened with his overdue loan payments, Ray negotiates for a discount with Brian, who eventually obliges.

Ray meets up with Tanya in a restaurant and discusses the business plan and marketing strategy for their Happiness Consultant venture. He is overwhelmed when she shows him her proposed budget. Tanya, on the other hand, is confident that their project is viable as long as Ray improves on his techniques with pleasing women.

Determined to turn their undertaking into a success, Tanya plans to enlist Lenore, a former colleague who is now a professional shopper at the mall, to potentially establish a wider client base, since most of Lenore's customers have deeper pockets. Although hesitant, Ray agrees to Tanyas proposal.

At school, Jessica tries to persuade the head of the theater program to give Darby a solo performance for their upcoming show. Damon and Darby go to their dad asking him to thwart their mother's scheme. More urgently, they wish for Ray to finally fix the house, so they can once again live with him.

Meanwhile, Tanya contacts Lenore over the phone and pitches the sexual service she and Ray would like to provide. Before agreeing to market Ray to her customers, Lenore requires that she sample the goods for herself first -- for free. Tanya instead counters with a discounted "pay-as-you're-pleased" offer.

Jessica takes Damon and Darby for ice cream in an attempt to become closer to them, as she feels her children prefers being with their dad. In the meantime, Ray goes to Tanya's place to rehearse her evening with Lenore. Tanya teaches him a few tips and tricks on how to make a woman feel comfortable and wanted. They also discuss Ray's sexual boundaries and limitations.

Back at Jessica's place, her husband Ronnie, while injecting Botox into her face, reassures her that everything about her is perfect and that she doesn't need to obsess about the kids or anything else.

Lenore welcomes Ray to her house and smokes some pot as she tries to calm his nerves. She assures him that she's no romantic and that all she's after is a fantastic lay. Lenore orders Ray to perform various acts and puts his stamina to the test. Exhausted, he falls asleep in Lenore's bed. He wakes up the next morning already late for work and missing his wallet, his shirt, and his underwear.

All this time, Ray is thinking Rhonda, the school principal, knows about his secret sideline, and that he is getting axed. Instead, the principal only rebukes him for comparing his basketball players to "bugs carrying balls of dung" during his pre-game pep talk. Relieved, Ray leaves the principal's office and reports back to Tanya on how the evening with Lenore went. Ending his phone call with Tanya, Ray begins another day of teaching History to his high school students.
