Episode Recap

In the middle of the freezing night, Ray rushes out of his tent to piss in the lake. Howard, his nosy neighbor, notices him and points out the legal and health implications of Ray's actions. At school that day, Ray gets into an argument with Jessica regarding the parenting style best suited for Damon and Darby.

Ray, still furious about losing his wallet, goes back to Lenore's house with Tanya and finds out his former client doesn't even live there. Ray looks through the phone book for a Lenore Bernard while Tanya gets a call from Floyd Gerber from the Wealth Whiz seminars inviting her out to dinner. She reassures Ray that they will get his wallet back.

As it turns out, Howard anonymously filed a public indecency complaint against Ray and authorities paid him a visit. They also reminded him that temporary structures such as his tent are only allowed to stay there for a week. After which, Ray will need to notify the city officials. Since they could not find any cause for arresting or sanctioning Ray, the cops leave him alone.

Back at Tanya's home, she leaves another message that goes straight to Lenore's voice mail. Not getting any response, Tanya tracks down her apartment. Lenore returns Ray's now-empty wallet and refuses to even pay for Ray's services as initially agreed upon with Tanya. As Tanya gives Rays wallet back, she lies about Lenore not paying them but instead boosts Ray's confidence by handing him $300.00 for his performance.

Meanwhile, at the Haxons, Jessica catches a TV ad calling out to people who wish to adopt from dog shelters. Moved by the sick and injured mutts, she picks up the phone to get a dog of her own. At a gasoline station, Ray discovers that someone took out $400.00 from his credit card account which has exceeded its limit.

During Tanya's dinner with Floyd, he reiterates how much potential her lyric bread idea has and encourages her to overcome her fears in order to achieve her financial goal. Floyd offers his services as personal advisor, if only to further Tanya's venture. She, in turn, reveals that she is currently working on a joint project with Ray, whom Floyd recalls as the dropout.

As Floyd brings Tanya home, Ray is waiting on her and wanting an explanation on why his credit cards have maxed out. She finally reveals that Lenore didn't pay them anything. Furious that Tanya let Lenore get away with a free session, Ray calls her the worst pimp in the world and quit from being her man-whore.

Back at the lakefront, Ray receives more bad news as Brian, the guy who's supposed to work on his house, backs out to take on a paying client. Ray decides to fix the house himself. The next morning, as he starts tearing down the walls of his house, he finds a paper bag of cookies with Tanya's laminated apologies in them. They later meet by the river. Ray insists that Tanya take her $300.00 back. Tanya realizes her faults and lets Ray keep the money.

In the meantime, Jessica is sitting at home looking after her newly-adopted sick dog. Damon and Darby enter the room asking her why she adopted "such an old messed-up dog". Ray, back at his place, is going through his kids photo album. The cops come back with another public indecency complaint against Ray, this time with incriminating evidence. Ray goes over to Howard's place and brings him a box of cookies as a truce offering.

As Tanya works in the office, Lenore calls her on the phone and brings in some new clients for Ray. After Tanya expresses her disgust and distrust, Lenore explains the she only took the $400.00 as advance commission for the business she is bringing in and kept the underwear as trophy. At the Koontz home, Mrs. Koontz finds a message inside one of the cookies which reads: "The truth is, you are sexy." Tanya phones Ray the good news about the new customers while Ray stumbles across a spray-painted logo of Happiness Consultants as he walks from a supplies store.
