No way! I love Hunter. I love both Stepfanie and Fred, but Fred is definitely my favorite.

I know! I even liked him in Diagnosis Murder- even though he played the mean boss!

No, you aren't. I have already purchased season 1 and 2 of Hunter on DVD. I love the characters and actually my favorite is of course, Fred. I wish they would have given the "Hunter 2003" series time to develop. Could have been interesting.

Make it four. I loved the show back in the eighties. Originally i stayed with it 'cause Stepfanie was so fine, but Rick grew on me, too. I remembered him as a football player and he was just such a cool TV cop. As DeeDee once noted, "Hunter, if you looked any more like a cop, you'd have your own TV show where you played one."
Seems dated now, but that's not really a bad thing, especially when it comes to cop shows and dramas in general. Just last night i tried to get thru "Rescue Me", and it was a joke. They think that grittiness, language and so-called adult situations make a show "real", failing to recognize that originality still counts. Who watches TV for reality, anyway?

I know! I get so sick of trying to watch a decent show with all that junk. *rolls eyes* Even L&O is touch and go now.

    Now it's up to five!

I've been posting in forums for more recent shows (Battlestar Galactica, which is an excellent show by the way, and a few others) when I decided to add some oldies but goodies to my list of favorite shows.

I have the only post on the Hawaii Five-O board so far. Come on over and join me there.

As for Hunter, this was a true guilty pleasure for me in the 80s. I went to boarding school and didn't watch much TV then. Whenever I came back home, I would always find myself tuning into Hunter. Something soothing about seeing him try to solve all the situations in a simple way--blast your way out of it!! The lack of subtlety was fun and Stepfanie Kramer was very easy on the eyes. [She had a bit part in the movie "The Man with Two Brains."]

I was pleasantly surprised to see the series resurrected with the TV movies a few years ago. Of course, I tuned into all of them. It was disappointing that the new series didn't last.

Great to see that there are some old-time Hunter fans still around and chatting on this site! Hello everyone.

I wish TV.com would post an audio clip of the Hunter theme and maybe some video clips. It would be nice to have these on hand when I get the sudden urge to see some "Hunter."

Here's a site with video and audio clips from the show: The Wonderful World of Hunter.

I liked it, too. It was a great way to cap off all those Saturday night sitcoms NBC had.
Isn't it a scream to watch the old eps now? Stepfanie Kramer had some truly hideous outfits.

    6 Now!

My favorite is Dee Dee because the character is a role model to females everywhere.

I think you're number 8. (Maybe higher, depending on whether you count every single person on the board.) We have to make sure that we don't undercount our numbers. After all, if there are enough fans, maybe we could convince NBC to try to bring back Hunter for the 3rd time. Yes, I know it's highly unlikely but one can dream....

    Great idea!

Glad to see so many fans...my other topic got deleated for a violation of "tv.com terms of service". Sorry about that! Didn't mean to do anything wrong!

You're forgiven Kasey. Actually I also had a topic deleted once on another board for a violation of TOS. I didn't think it was that bad. I wasn't swearing or attacking anyone on the board. Oh well.

I like to provide interesting and relevant(?) information and engage other members in calm and reasonable conversation. Too bad there aren't any new episodes of Hunter to spur conversation here.

I have to admit that I haven't seen the show in years. I have fond memories of it though.

Thanx for making me feel better!

I watched it all the time on TVLand, until they changed the time again...and now I rarely get to see it!
