Hunter was one of my favorite shows when I was a little girl. It's funny because now that I'm all grown up and had the chance to watch this show again, I can't believe my mother would let me watch it with only 10 years old.

The plot was interesting and well the music made the case kind of creepy. Funny how Hunter and McCall get partnered and it turns out they are very good working together.

It was nice to see that Hunter, being tough and all, was considerate to McCall all the time but not to much that he let her do her own part of the job, even following her leads. Taking care of her too but not too much to make her feel weak and vulnerable.

Now I remember why I loved watching this show.moreless

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • In this episode, Hunter first drives a blue 1978 Dodge Monaco. The car's windshield is blown out during a car chase, and shortly afterwards, the car is crashed into when Hunter and McCall are making an arrest. Hunter is then assigned a new vehicle, a 1970 Ford LTD. The gray softtop is in a very battered shape.

    • The criminal at the bank robbery who Hunter asked for the date played in the movie Stripes as Cruiser, the slightly ignorant farmboy in the Company. The actors name is John Diehl.

  • QUOTES (11)

    • Captain Cain: McCall, I wanted to stop by and see how you were doing.
Hunter: Well, it's good of you to show up on the day she's leaving, Captain.
McCall: I'm fine, shoulder's just a little stiff but it'll get worked out.
Captain Cain: You can take your time getting back. When you do, you can remain desk bound as long as you like before we get you a new partner.
Hunter: Well, she already has a partner, Captain, remember?
Captain Cain (To McCall): Surely you're joking.
McCall: No, I'm not joking. And my name isn't Surely.

    • McCall: You know, this wasn't a fair deal Hunter, the least you could've done was get shot or something.
Hunter: Well, maybe your next partner will be more considerate.
McCall: This union is officially terminated then?
Hunter: Unless I do most of driving.

    • Hunter (To McCall, who's in the bathtub and pointing her gun at him): A water pistol? Where do you keep it?
McCall: Just hand me something to put on.
(Hunter hands her a hand towel)
      McCall: Thank you.

    • Dr. Bolin: You need to pass in order to stay on active duty.
Hunter: Somehow I get the feeling that I'm not going to pass. Somehow I get the feeling that I failed before I even came in here. And you and I both know that Captain Cain put you up to this.
Dr. Bolin: That sounds like paranoia tendencies to me, Sargent.
      Hunter: Just perceptive ones.

    • McCall: On Wednesday, that's strange. Most of these nets are out skunk-hunting on Fridays or Saturdays.
      Hunter: Skunk-hunting?
McCall: Yeah, you know, chasing skirts? Trying to pick up women?
      Hunter: (Clueless) Right.

    • Hunter: Why do you keep on thinking I'm trying to hit on you?
McCall: Because that is what I've been used to. And every partner I've been stuck with has hit on me. Except you. Definitely you have your own style, Hunter.
Hunter: When we're through with this case, then we can talk.
      McCall: Just talk?

    • Captain Cain: You two split up, right after role call, didn't you? Here's the scoop Hunter and you can run it down for your partner: The two of you will be together from role call to the end of watch, every minute, every second, I mean in the car or in the can, I don't care. I will be running random radios checks throughout the course of the day and if at any time for any reason both of you don't roger the call or are not joined at the hip you both will be talking to IA.

    • Walking Man: Hey buddy your car stinks!
McCall (To Hunter): Why don't you shoot this thing and put it out of its misery?

    • Hunter: You wouldn't know the day, would you?
      Criminal: What? The twelve.
Hunter: Wrong. It's the day you're going to jail.

    • Capt. Cain: Just how stupid do you think I am?
Hunter: Well, Captain, I really don't know.

    • Whispering Willy: Hey, hey. Wait a minute. What about my call to my lawyer? How long am I sposed to stand here?
(Hunter pushes Willy against the car)
      Hunter: Until Simon says leave.
Whispering Willy: Who the hell is Simon?
(Hunter points to the gun in his holster)
      Hunter: This is Simon.
