This reunion TV movie is actually NOT part of the last season of "Hunter" (Season 7), as many times it's listed as...including here. This was the first return TV movie of "Hunter," and even though Charles Hallahan returned as "Charlie Devane," actress Stepfanie Kramer did not come back as "McCall" (as she had left after the sixth season of the original show).

The plot of this movie was okay, but as was the last season of the series, it just didn't have that original "Hunter" magic. Fred Dryer was still awesome as his "Dirty Harry"-like "Rick Hunter," but without McCall it still just wasn't there. Any true "Hunter" fan will like and/or want this TV movie...but the real "Hunter" phenomena was back in the later TV movies and short-lived new series (2002-2003), as both Fred Dryer and Stepfanie Kramer returned to their original characters.moreless
