A good start to an exciting looking series

As much as I hate to admit it, the start of this season was a little formulaic and predictable. It's obvious by now that the team will always outwit their mark, and the police, so it would be nice to see them struggle a little more from time to time and be a little more believable like Spooks. When the police rang the mark it was obvious to me that it was the Hustle lot.

Nevertheless, it was good to see the gang back and the opening episode brought up a couple of interesting stoylines: Firstly, there's the new police woman who's going to investigate them. Perhaps she'll give them a run for their money and catch them? (or at least one of them). Then there's the tension between Mickey and Emma. Not to forget Mickey's interest in the new female cop. This could be the most exciting season for a very long while...moreless
