  • Danny pretends to be an ex-mobster's son, while Albert morns the loss of a friend by being a total jerk to everyone.

This episode had me worried. The mark is a man who was in the mob, went to jail, and then opened a restaurant. The man's son had been kidnapped when he was 1-years-old and the con is Danny pretends to be his long lost son, after Albert hears the man lamenting the son's loss in church.

This was a well executed con, but this was one of those few cases where I really felt bad for the man involved. I know he was supposed to be a mobster, but he had gone to jail and then supposedly went legit, so what if he was reformed?

Even Danny, who normally doesn't feel too much of a twinge of conscious felt bad about this con. However, the ending of this one was very satisfying and made me really happy.

I love seeing their cons, but I can't help but feel better about them when they have a really intolerable jerk they are conning. I guess it just makes it easier to root for them.moreless
  • Great and interesting episode.

I felt so sorry for Albert in this episode. His world got turned inside out. His friend died and he ended up losing cash and his friends wedding ring to a cab driving piece of filfth who was probably playing the short con. Danny pretending to be a rich mans long lost son. I almost wet myself with laughter when Danny bought his home cooked meal through. It only goes to show that when you put on a fake accent and deliver a fake story to people they will believe anything. The way they got that landlord to lease a flat to them for free was genius.moreless

    • Mickey: How would you like to be in one?
Landlord: I thought you were kidding when you mentioned it earlier.
Mickey: No, no, no. You be here, 11am on the 14th and you are in the movie, Mr Eves. Oh yeah. We'll give you tickets to the premier and all your pals can come along and see you up on the big screen as one of the undead. But, in return, you waive the rent until the movie is in profit. It's called a satisfactory deferment.
Albert: As zombie roles go, it's great. You get to eat Amanda Donohoe.
