The season opener was a non-stop hurdle race. But this second episode cuts back on the obstacles and uses the extra time to introduce new boy Billy Bond (Ashly Walters); the result is in an episode that goes down as smoothly as honey, rather than getting stuck in your craw.
Billy's entry into the team may "ring a few bells", especially for poor old Danny (Marc Warren), who struggles to formulate a plan ("We'll sell him...a horse.") However, the script is so full of laughs that Danny's inepitude doesn't hamstring it. (And Danny’s gradual blossoming into the leader could be one of the joys of the series.) Plus, Jamie Foreman delivers a fantastic turn as a porn baron with more slobber than Jabba the Hutt.moreless
