Earlier in the season, in "The Quiz Show," the show's host's name appears as "Freddie Filmore." In this episode, the host's name appears as "Freddy Fillmore."
This is the second of Frank Nelson's eleven guest appearances. In this episode he plays Freddy Fillmore. Nelson plays Fillmore two other times (once earlier in season 1, and the second time in season 3). The other characters he plays are a waiter and police sergeant in season 2, Dickie Davis in season 3, Ben Benjamin in season 4, a train conductor and customs officer in season 5, and Ralph Ramsey in season 6.
Freddie Filmore: (on the radio): How do you do, Mr. and Mrs. Findley? Now here are your three one hundred dollar questions. First, who was the youngest man to be inaugurated President of the United States?
Ricky Ricardo: Theodore Roosevelt.
Lucy: Theodore Roosevelt? Oh no. It was one of the earlier ones. Adams or McKinley, wasn't it, Ethel?
Ethel: Ask Fred. He was probably there.
Lucy: Whatever happened to that game we used to play before television was invented? It was called conversation.
Ethel: Oh yeah, how did that go?
Lucy: You know, the four of us used to sit around all evening and talk. Nothing so unusual about it. In millions of homes all over the country people were having the same kind of conversation we were having.
Fred: Yeah, that's why television was invented!
Freddie Fillmore: What is the name of the animal that fastens itself to you and drains you of your blood?
Lucy: Collector of Internal Revenue!
Ricky: All I know is Christopher Columbus discovered Ohio in 1776.
Ricky: Who do you think you're married to? A country pumpkin?
Lucy: That's a pretty new movie for television.
Lucy: Yeah, that little girl is Margaret O'Brien, isn't it?
Ricky: Look again. It's Shirley Temple.
Fred: Look again. It's Mary Pickford.
If you look carefully you will notice Frank Nelson holding a sign pluging sponsor Philip Morris.
My Favorite Husband: "Quiz Show"
This episode was taken nearly word for word from a My Favorite Husband episode. Ironically that episode was taken from a Burns and Allen episode. Gracie finds the questions and assures George she memorized them. But it's only after they're on the air when George learns Gracie only memorized the questions and NOT the answers as that would be cheating.
