Lucy, in such a tither about her baby shower, has forgotten all about Ricky and has forgotten to pick up his cleaning and even forgets to make dinner. Ricky suddenly starts having stomach pains and feeling lousy for no apparent reason. Lucy puts him in bed and calls in the doctor.
The doctor examines Ricky and realizes that the symptoms aren't physical at all, it's psychological as his 'illness' mirrors all of Lucy's pregnancy discomforts. The doctor recommends to Lucy that they do something that directs lots of attention at Ricky, maybe a daddy shower instead of a baby shower. Fred happily agrees to throw the party for his pal.
Lucy makes a big haul at the baby shower. She starts growing concerned because the daddy shower for Ricky has now become a "Stag Party". She just HAS to find out what's going on there.
At the stag party, Ricky's completely rejuvenated and having a ball. Two reporters show up uninvited but Ricky and Fred spot them immediately, it's Lucy and Ethel in disguise. They go along with it and make the girls feel uncomfortable until they take their leave. As they're exiting, Ricky says "Goodbye, Lucy" and Fred adds "Goodbye, Ethel."
