The Ricardos and the Mertzes are flying to Cuba to meet Ricky's family. Lucy is as nervous as can be about meeting her in-laws whereas Little Ricky awaits his extended family with anticipation. Lucy wants to impress Ricky's family, especially his Uncle Alberto, who had hoped Ricky would marry a Cuban girl. Lucy wants to greet the family in Spanish. Upon meeting Uncle Alberto, Lucy gets the Spanish greeting wrong, calling him a big fat pig. She breaks his hat, spills a drink, and ruins his cigars. Things go much better for Little Ricky, who properly speaks Spanish to his relatives and receives Big Ricky's drum from his childhood. The two will go on to play together at the nightclub. Lucy, desperate to reconcile with Uncle Alberto, wants to make up and get him new cigars. Upon selecting the cigars, she leaves her money with Fred and Ethel, who have left the shop. Promising to return with the money, the storekeeper refuses to allow Lucy to leave, causing a struggle and Lucy ruining the cigars. With the police on its way, Uncle Alberto and Ricky enter the cigar store, causing Lucy to slip away and disguise herself as a cigar roller. She draws attention to herself and is discovered when rolling up an absurdly large cigar. At the nightclub, Ricky is officially welcomed home to Havana. Big Ricky and Little Ricky perform together, much to the enjoyment of Lucy and Uncle Alberto, who seem to have forgiven each other after all. This episode provides many laughs and is entertaining, despite the expectation of the likely troubles between Lucy and Uncle Alberto. It may not be one of the best Ricardo-Mertz world travel stories, but it does not fail to provide some quality "I Love Lucy" entertainment.
